I do appreciate you doing this, but I sure wish you could show it step by step instead of just summarizing and speeding through what to do and trying to get through it as fast as possible. It's the details that count.
@@DAVE_WHITE He tells you exactly what you need to do to connect the radio to the computer. The software (fldigi) is just an example of digital mode software. This video was not meant to teach you how to use digital modes. Learn what modes and software you plan to use and look for information specific to your decision.
Hi Ken - Thanks for making and sharing this helpful video. Once one sets up the 7300 for digital comms, what does one have to do to use the radio in a non-digital mode such as SSB phone mode (using the microphone)? - Take care - Jim (KK7CSC)
I'm very curious why some guys are putting PanAdapters on the 7300 for connection to their computers. What information is the USB cable not supplying to the computer app that the PanAdapter does?
HMMMN did not work for me computer will not key the radio. Too much Fog around the Data download and driver update area. Have no way of knowing what is t=in the 7300 for driver?? Anyway, it did not work Radio will not key
But maybe sounds stupid but I have a reason for asking.... NO one ever shows how to return the radio back to SSB usage. My radio always seems to have issues and causes me to have to reset the radio....
you assume that the computer OS is Windows ...... You don't explain why the settings (potentiometer) are what you have stated ... what happens/effects if you use different values?
I just wish people would get off the lame computer and pic up a microphone....nerds have ruined the world with computers and now it's killing ham radio...PICK UP A MICROPHONE AND CALL CQ IF YOUR TOO SCARED TO TALK ON A MICROPHONE THEN GO BACK TO CHATROOMS...
You did NOT show the main what we want: the display of the radio! Where is the menu display of the 7300? how to set up to run FT-8? where is the JTDX set up? you simply talk bla bla bla and we couldn't see nothing. Back to zero again!
