I got rid of Scoutly for the following reasons. I was at a used book store scanning books when my phone did a factory reset. I didn't know what happened. I lost all of my photos and a fun time reinstalling all my apps and app settings. I went to a few other book stores and scanned 2,000 books without any issues. Then I went to the book store where my phone had the issue. I was scanning books In the exact location and it happened again. I came to the conclusion that a bar code somehow caused the app to send me to a website that forced my phone to factory reset. I was more than a little pissed off. That night I canceled my subscription and purchased Scoutiq even though I didn't like their limited settings.

I’m sorry to hear that! What kind of phone do you use? I’ve had the app crash but I just reboot and it’s good to go most of the time.

I think someone put a malicious barcode on a book. It can happen as well if you use Scoutiq.

That's crazy... probably someone who hates book scanners or someone who is a book scanner trying to take out the competition. If you remember the book, you should bring it to the attention of the staff so they can verify if it's a legitimate store barcode.

Lol triggers can be customized on both Scoutly and scoutiq. And I am using the triggers recommended. This video is a little old but the only difference between these triggers and the ones I use are the minimum profit I set for mine are $5.00
