I know. but its not the best to have the cord running across the ceiling. So i place it at a higher level than the canopy. And since the room is not massive that ensures i am getting at least what i am reading at the canopy seeing as Co2 is relatively heavy and sinks.
It could be different for different controllers but mine will turn on at 100 less and off at 100 more then my center with a zone of 100. But this could be specifically to just my controller. I don't have experience with other brands. So this is a really good point to bring up.
@@TriStateTrichomes I have the same controller, check again...it's called centre for a reason....the centre of 100 is 50. I did double check before posting,
@@UbiquitousRomp mine is different then yours. Possibly a different model or mine isn't functioning the same. I'll see if I can find my original instructions. But I just walked into the room and caught it a little after it turned off at 95 above my center. I took a quick photo. I'll place it on the community section of my page for you to see. Mine is a 100 swing for sure though.
@@TriStateTrichomes if I set mine to 1000 with a 100 zone, it usually over runs the 1050 and can be up in the 11's just on the over run, thats in the air before it's reached the sensor. Still re activates at 950 though.
Did you manage to read that report I tried to link to. about CO2 reduction in rough air flow. I know your not going to buy this easily, but putting it "though" the fan reduces the PPM straight away, as when the molecules have any impact, they break down. I've now got mine in front of the fan, due to this reason and no longer get the same amount of dust on the blade edges due to the moisture in the co2 making them damp. This is just from google ""Does a fan help with CO2? Presence of a small portable desk fan was found to significantly reduce the CO2 concentration. On average, we observed a 177 ppm reduction in CO2 concentration when using a fan, which is 25 ppm higher than the background CO2 measurement"" and that is just in the room, not putting the CO2 stream through the rough flow area. Just something to bear i mind Gromie.

I ment the back of the presure meter that shows the tank volume. The one with the pointer. Sorry for the mis understanding. It screws in am i right? I am a welder.. you would be suprised on wat places they leak. they can even leak on the knob to regulate the flow. Thank you for your uploads
@@seranne okay I understand what you mean now. I would have to check if this screws in or if it's permanently set. I know the oxygen and acetylene tanks had ones that screwed in when I was in school. Only ever saw leaks on the oxygen tanks. Which I guess makes sense with the amount of pressure. Good point though. I'll have to check now and see how its designed.
Normally utilizing a monitor that keeps the CO² levels up at a constant 1200ppm - 1600ppm but Could you do an experiment bringing the CO2 levels up to 1600ppm and documenting how long it takes for the plants to bring levels back to the normal 403ppm, utilizing all of the excess CO². How many square ft x how many plants x how many hours to utilize the extra 1200ppm of CO²..
that would be different at different stages of the plants life. i would have to perform this weekly which would be placing a lot of stress on the plants throughout the entire run. not ideal
No i would not invest the money if you are pulling the air out. BUT what you could do is place your grow or your air intake in such a way that it pulls in co2 rich air from occupants in your house or from the area around a pilot light, since both will have high CO2 levels naturally. OR if you are in a cold area and need to heat your grow. use a CO2 burner or a gas heater to produce both heat and co2. Just be safe and not burn the place down.
Depends on what PPFD i am running at that time. I will tapper co2 up as my PPFD increases. So ill start out at 800 and have it up to 1500 by the time I'm flipping into flower. But that is also with a PPFD of 1000 or more. So there is no 1 answer to this unfortunately. Just depends on your other factors.
I go 200 over my PPFD, all the way up. Haven't gone higher like our Gromie here does, which is why I'm so interested. The natural ambient is about 350 PPM here. So in week 2, from seed, I'm at 400 PPFD (600 ppm)instead of the recommended 200PPFD . and at the beginning of week 4, Im at 6-700 PPFD and 900PPM. I'll go up to an average PPDF of of about a 900-1000PPFD with a few hotspots, and run the CO2 at 1200 - 1300ppm.
Nothing can stop you from using it anywhere of course. But keep in mind a tent isn't very well sealed and you tend to open them often. So you will lose all of that co2 and run through the tank rather quickly. You make be able to seal the room the tent is in though so that way it would not matter.
yes it keeps it within a set range. mine is plus or minus 100PPM from whatever my given set point is. For example 1500 is my set. it will turn on at 1400 and turn off at 1600.
Hey, so I recently just bought the same controller as you but I'm having issues wondering if you had any suggestions? My room is 430sq and my regulator is set to 10. After 6 hours it won't go past 1200 ppm (1350 target) . I have no air intake. My tank has not turned off
They are both the same for the most part. One has a cert that says it was tested is all. But i get mine at Allied gas. He sells the same stuff to restaurants that come in to his shop also.
havent contacted the company because i set the controller up tonight (same one you have), out of the box with no calibration is reading damn near 900 ppms in the room with no supplemental a couple of hours after the lights turned on and had the door open. that doesnt make much since to me, any input would be greatly appreciated. really not trying to talk to someone on support reading a script with no experience. i know they said you can calibrate outside on a sunny day but that just doesnt sound very exact haha any input is greatly appreciated.
your indoor co2 levels are always going to be higher than outdoors. especially if you live near the grow. that could explain the increased levels. my closet setup is in my office and it stays 800 to 1100 at all times from me sitting in the office haha

Does your light on the sensor stay on? Mine does and I never noticed that before. I thought it turned off when the lights are off. I know the control panel will turn off and on and then there's the power light that always stays on (got mine covered with painting tape also😊) But that sensor light is bright as hell. I covered it with more tape but just wondering if yours stays on.
