Thank you so much. I have struggled for ages to get this to work!! Note that the SSID given to the extender router must be different to the main SSID - that fixed it for me! Also start by deleting all WAN setups under internet setup before trying to "Enable DHCP Server relay"

Thank you! You forgot to mention that after entering router IP, you need to reboot to show the option to select the RELAY option. It doesn't show initially. After reboot it shows.

Can I use the same (DWA131) to remotely connect my DSL2750 through the USB port in 2750 to my main router and make the connection between my 2750 and main router wireless( presently it is wired as yours)
How do I get it to work without the LAN cable, is there a way? Running the cable all the way where it needs to sit is going to be a mission and therefore thought it could be like an exact repeater/extender. How do I get it to connect wirelessly? or is D-LINK just not equipped for that and I need to purchase an actual wireless extender.

The moment i change the ip and disable dhcp server, I can't connect or open the routers page anymore, new and old ip both don't work, ipconfig doesn't show the ip either Edit: figured it out, you have to connect the ethernet cable to the dsl router then you can continue from where you were
Greetings After reading and watching several articles and videos; finally able to configure properly my 2 routers to work properly. Made one adjustment. Have manually set my 5Ghz signals on different signals since both my routers close together. My reason for 2 routers mainly for security purposes not so much extended range. U da man. Like a subscriber below, I can no longer access, my second router but I can access my main one. Second router DHCP off, LAN to LAN, (main to secondary) with CAT 5e cable (cross wired) , but no longer access to second router D-Link via new IP address. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers
Hi, I would like to Enable DHCP Server Relay my Router shows Grey as Disabled and another question my Primary Router is Different from DSL-2750U and also its Gateway IP Address is 192.168.88.1 and the IP address for DSL-2750U is 10.0.0.2. I would like tu setup this DSL-2750U as wireless point on Ethernet network, please assist and thanks for the Video.
Please note that if your DHCP server relay option is disabled under local network setup, you need to delete all configuration under internet setup and 3g internet setup and this should make the DHCP server relay option availible.
Hi and thanks for the upload, question tho... my D-Link DSL-2750u the enable relay is greyed out... how can i get past that??? i have tried resetting my router to default. but its still greyed thus not allowing me to setup the relay option.

Also can my local area network (office network) the connection cable of which is coming to my office and its a ethernet cable. (for office work). Please try the below steps: 1. First update the modem to latest firmware version. 2. Enable the mac address of your computer which you are using for configuration inside the white list in mac filtering advanced. 3. Once this is done remove anything in 3g settings. 4. now change the IP address without disabling DHCP server. This is the important step which has been missed as in case there is DHCP manual in your laptop settings it will not allow you to change the IP address of the modem. Once this is done uncheck DHCP server as well as DHCP relay. It should work fine.
This model probably not suitable to connect to ur main router wirelessly. U need to run a cable betwee ur main router and ur old D-Link 2750U, follow the setup process of this video and then connect wirelessly to 2750U.
Hello I have a problem...I have a D-Link dsl 2750u..I have reset to default....when I go to 192.168.1.1 it asks for password and username...when I type admin and admin (my default credentials given at the back of router) ...it doesn't open the router settings...it just disappears and reappears asking for password and username..plz help
Change lan settings ipv 4 config via ADVANCED settings on your main router/modem , make the last digits , maybe 20 under DHCP RELAY. Apply. Change wireless channel in main router/modem to 1 , *must not be set to auto. You can only use 1 , 6 or 11 only. Apply. On your old router that you're using as an extender connect Ethernet cable locally to your laptop. Go into settings and disable DHCP. Change IP address to 10.0.0.3 if your main router's gateway is 10.0.0.2. Other routers differ in their IP address eg. TPLINK is 192.168.0.1. Change wireless channel to 11 , *must not be on auto. Then insert your WiFi password under wireless security settings and network name. NB : Network name(SSID) must not be the same on main router and Extender but WiFi passwords can be the same. Connect lan cable from main router to extender. You can access both routers from main router (10.0.0,2) and 10.0.0.3 (extender). You will be able to connect wirelessly to whichever is closest in range. NB: Ethernet cable between routers shouldn't be more than 100 meters.
Hello I have done all the steps . Here my main modem is genexis which comes with ftth. I am using dlink 2730 as secondary modem via ethernet cable from genexis modem. Now the device is connected and internet is also available. But the devices have obtained ip address from the first modem and now im not able to access the dlink router page. Do you know what is the reason . If yes pls reply
you should set your Dlink to have static ip address. Then set it as DHCP relay. Some Dlink routers are not designed as access point even though they can act as access point. there are some issues with some.
As soon as I enter the IP address and enable the DHCP server relay and click on Apply, I am unable to go to the next page. It says ‘site cannot be reached’even though I am still connected to the net. Please help !
I have the same router. Is it possible to use it to connect to the home network over WIFI and share it to a WIRED device such as an old xbox 360 that doesn't have wifi? I really don't want to run a cable that way

I tried to do with 2790 U. My primary ip is 192.168.100.1, so i gave 192.168.100.10 to my secondary. But after these clicked on apply button unfortunately it is not rebooting my secondary router. What did i miss 😥
Hope someone can assist, I have the dsl2750u setup as an access point. I have tried using dhcp relay as well as switching of the dhcp completely. However I get an error when connecting to its ssid "unable to assign ip". What could be wrong? Devices connected to the Lan port work fine.
