If you want to see a video on how KVM switches work and review of Ugreen 2PC in 1 Monitor out KVM switch, check out my video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fn184dc-NZ0.html
Only the right monitor is connected to the KVM Switch. The left monitor only gets black for a second, because he's switching over from Mac to Windows, so the Windows Pc recongnizes that a seconde monitor gets connected, that happens because of a setting in Windows which memorizes, main monitor or window position etc. so that you don't have to adjust everything everytime after you switched from Mac to Windows.
Hello. kvm switch I’m using in this video only supports 1 hdmi output. So I’m only using it on my main display. Second monitor is directly connected to my pc, not the kvm switch. Thus I only use it for one of my computers. To work on dual monitors with a kvm switch, you should buy something like this amzn.to/3yVHhQO
Oh man, is it gonna go "zoom in zoom out" which means the display actually disconnects from the 1st PC so it re-adjusts its resolution each time? The re-adjustmen is really unideal as it messes with a lot of apps and desktop icons.
Yes it disconnects from your pc but I believe it doesn’t readjust its resolution each time. I have my personal and work pc plugged in. Each of them has lots of windows open all around the screen. I had no issues switching back again and seeing them in exact spots
I have bought this KVM switch and a USB C to USB A cable to connect to my macbook, but the keyboard and mouse are not working (they are working fine when i switch to my pc tho). Do I have to use a USB hub/dongle (3:20) to connect to macbook?
This kvm switch only supports one, so I just use for my main monitor. My second monitor only connected to my windows pc. If ypu want 2 monitor out though, check out products like these: amzn.to/4apJhOz
Yes it is possible! You will need a usb c hub like this amzn.to/4c72mpO though. Kvm switch has 2 inputs, 1 hdmi and 1 usb. Connect its inputs to usb c hub, and you can connect single cable coming out from hub to your macbook. You can even plug macbook charger into the hub, and both charge and use same monitor/mouse/keyboard with only a single cable
Yes it does work for only the mouse and keyboard. However, if you plan to not connect monitor ever to the switch, you’re better of buying USB switch like this one: amzn.to/43UQ40r
My kvm switch doesn’t support dual monitors. I’m connecting 1 monitor to kvm switch, which I can change. But the other is static to my desktop. I should have something like this amzn.to/4bf1Vc1 to support dual monitors on kvm switch. That’s why I can’t show it in the tutorial. And I mentioned that it can be done using a similar approach. When you connect 2 monitors, only the inputs and output monitor parts change. Instead of inputing and outputing 1 monitors, you just do 2. And I’m not familiar with Wivu connection. Can you open that up?
@@thequirkyengineer Your setup at 0:55 is not the same as at 3:40. 1 HDMI out goes to a monitor, but we cannot see where you connected the other monitor. However, I understand that your laptop is only displaying on 1 monitor and the PC on both. That would work for me but in the opposite manner. Laptop to 2 monitors and PC to 1 monitor.
@KRASHMETAL maybe the unit is broken. Did you connect an usb cable coming out of kvm switch to your pc? Or you can try the 2nd usb cable to check if the other broken. If every connection is correct and still not works, I think the unit is broken :/
I have this device to use for the Keyboard and Mouse ... and unfortunatelly it is rather flaky, sometimes the keys stick or the mouse starts to jump around. I do not recommend this item.
hey i work with the kvm swtich team company and wanted to reach out and see if you'd be interested in being gifted more of our products! couldn't find your business email!
