I was on radio for 25 years...great idea, however do it for the right reasons...Radio is a responsibility. You have a voice use it for good cause...GOOD LUCK!
What's the best way to make sure the audio coming out of your remote setup is getting to your studio if you're an internet radio station? I used GoToMyPC a few years ago, but the latency killed me. Then I carried my studio laptop around when I had the Clear stick and it worked until they decided not to maintain the network anymore after November 2015.
Merge98FM We usually have studio system scheduled to go live at a certain time via the remote server signal. After that we just make sure our remote system is connected to the internet and live. Our studio system is set to do the rest. We verify this by listening to the livestream via our mobile app.
I looked on your website and see that you have a mobile app. It's beautiful. Where did you get that designed? Also about the Sprint hotspot; where do I get one of those type of receivers?
When dealing with live streaming macs are a headache. PCS work better because they are more compatible with other brands. PCS can take any kind of audio cord rather inexpensive.
Do you guys come to people's homes to help them get setup.I would love to get started, but I would like to have a person thair to help me through the steps.
VUMIX I personally use my TMobile Data plan... I just make my phone a hot spot and that works well for me when I'm on remotes. But you can use the wifi at the location or ethernet.
Cool! I have mor equestions though. Haha One is, how do you guys generate revenue for the station to pay all the streaming fees etc. Also which streaming package are you using.
