I followed your video when installing the hardware in my 'new to me' DX1200 - it really helped. Thank you. Some of those connections are very small but your video gave me the confidence to fit the board. I elected to put the SMA socket in line with others on the rear of the unit. I used a vacuum cleaner and some grease to catch the swarf made when drilling. 73 Pete M0WHT

Nice video! I installed a similar IF buffer and switch in my FT450D. I switched to a dongle with a TXCO for better stability. I found I needed to tweak the IF frequency in HDSDR depending upon room temperature so the panadapter tracked the transceiver frequency before I did.

I just received my kit in the mail today and was watching your video. I could see where the center conductor is soldered to the radio board for the input but could not tell where the outer braid is attached. Could you share where that attachment point is at on the radio board?
