Hi John, glad you liked the video. The difference is that I am a trained clock restorer and not some amateur with no idea what he is doing who passing on lots of false ideas on cleaning and repairing mechanical clock movements.
I have a Korean wall clock ,it chimes on the correct hour every time not a problem , I can hear it going in to warning sound about a minute and a half before the hour strike , but I can't hear the warning sound or the gong strike on the half hour , If I hand turn the clock fingers for a full hour by hand I can hear both the warning and half hour sound . ,Thanks Pal great videos.
Very well done. I just cleaned one of these and it kept counting. I didn't have the warning wheel set up right. I like how you go through it more than once. Very easy the way you explain it. It would have taken me a lot of time to figure this out, but you saved me lots of time.
@@ScottiesClockWorld I knew I was missing something, but couldn't remember. For some reason I was thinking only two things had to line up, but remembered you did a video on this one so I just figured it would be easier to watch it again than mess with it. Thanks for the effort you put into these videos. You probably spend more time making the video than doing the demo.
Thannk you for the video. Got mine striking right after cleaning. Redy to go back in the clock. Do you have a video on the alarm that some of these clocks have?
Thanks for a very well done presentation. But it doesn't solve my problem or if it does I don't see it. I just cleaned this same movement and now it only strikes ONE TIME regardless of the hour. It stops EVERY notch regardless of the depth of the notch! What am I missing? Help this old man out, please.
