I'm wondering if you know how I should program the ESC to make it stop automatically when it loses connection from the transmitter. I turned off the transmitter before I unplugged the battery, and the motor went to full power. Thank you!

They usually shut down when they lose their signal, its called a failsafe

No i dont think so, i would have to connect one up to be 100% certain though
