Are you adding the Eufy Doorbell Dual to your Apple Home setup? Here's my review of the doorbell dual from a while back: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sntvKzI2kXc.html
I see now its supported E340, check the supported devices under eufy-security-client , they added the support under version 3.0.0 (2024-03-03), see the changelog.
@@AdamsTechLife thanks for the tip, but I had tried that. I have decided to try connecting it through Scrypted, so will be setting that up later today
Hi Adam, I’ve watched this video a few times, I’ve managed to get Homebase 3 into HomeKit via homebridge but can only see the sensors and light functions of my eufy 2c cameras, I’ve no actual camera views, could you tell me what I’m doing wrong please? Many thanks
I haven't tried this using the homebase 3, I've only tested this with homebase 2 so version 3 with the newer cameras (non HomeKit compatible) may not be fully supported yet. Thanks for watching! 😊
@markhughes3401 I ditched the HomeBase3 for my dad’s old HomeBase2 and the Eufy 2/2Pro cameras since they work natively with HomeKit. Your 2C cameras should as well. I’ve tried multiple times to get other Eufy cameras as well as the cheaper battery doorbell camera into HomeKit via HomeBridge and I just cannot get the video feeds to work. I’ve verified that they are all compatible with the Eufy plug-in, but I’m very close to giving up and just getting more of the 2Pro cameras and a HomeKit compatible doorbell.
I've done the best I can. I am new to Homebridge and trying workarounds. I've installed Homebridge and followed the steps. I have the Eufy Security Plugin installed in Homebridge, but it doesn't give me any settings to change on the Eufy Dualcam Doorbell. It doesn't even show a doorbell icon under devices. It's just a generic icon. In Apple HomeKit, it shows the doorbell, but never gives me a video. When I tap the icon in HomeKit, it gives me the option of Home, Away, Night, and Off. It also gives me a sliding On and Off. I have no idea what those mean or do. They don't seem to change anything. Where do I even go to get help finding out what I need to do to fix it? I have home bridge installed on a Mac mini with M1 chip.
So Adam, do you think you would ever consider making a video on Homey Pro? In the near future, it’s usually I get a better sense how these things work. When a professional knows what they’re doing specially when they show how they work. Thank you for getting back to me. Have a great day.
Good stuff Adam. I never had much success with the Eufy HB plugin, but I never had the old doorbell dual. I just got the new dual one so I'll have to try again soon.
Followed this setup exactly and working great. However, my Apple TV doesn’t show a live PIP view when rung. Only a text notification. Only exception is I have the wired version of the doorbell. Any ideas?
i haven't tried the wired version but i think since the plugin doesn't work all the time, the live feed can have issues popping up. maybe try restarting the doorbell or homebridge?
Does Eufy make any doorbell cams that work with HomeKit natively? I have three of their cams already as well as a Homebase 2 (don’t want to buy another one) but it looks on their site that most of them aren’t natively compatible with HomeKit.
Hello, it’s Ken … Great video !! I would like to know if Homey pro is like Homebridge or is it a different type of system ? I know it’s new to North America - I am trying to understand these items ( since I am not a computer whiz at all !) These items would have to be very helpful to use items like in your video. Thank you for giving me your time.
Hey Ken, thanks for your comment. I think homey pro is similar to homebridge. I'm not too familiar with homey pro quite yet to know for sure but a quick glance homey pro seems to be somewhat similar to homebridge but offers more features.
Is the Raspberry Pi a must have for this method? I tried to follow your tutorial but I don't have the The Raspberry Pi yet. And my Eufy E330 Video Smart Lock doesn't show on the HomeKit after I add the Eufy HomeBase 3 to my HomeKit
Is the difference between the raspberry pi home bridge and the starling that the starling only works for the google nest but the pi works with any other system?
Hello, for some reason, I don't see those additional features from the doorbell camera as you have. I followed each step up to this point in the video. I'm at the 5:28 minute mark. Any help please? Thank you.
my only thought would be to maybe try the setup process again? that option automatically appeared for me and I didn't have to do anything so maybe trying again might help
I have the Floodlight camera E340 and the Solo cam S340 cannot seem to get this plugin to work with either one, would it be possible for you to do a video on either one of these Eufy models. Thanks

Two factor authentication for the guest account? That doesn't sound right when it's being used by a service like a plugin in Homebridge, the essens of two factor authentication is to verify by an extra code being send to the user (a person) whom then can verify it. But the guest account is a necessity as the plugin will write an error in the log if you use your main account.
I think you're mistaken, can you reply with a link to that dokumentation? Each time the Homebridge is reset the plugin has to authenticate to eufy, how can it do that by two factor authentication, the plugin can't read emails or notifications on your phone and reply with that code to eufy@@AdamsTechLife
I think you're mistaken, can you provide a link to where it says 2fa is required? How would the plugin authenticate when the bridge is reset if it's set up for 2fa? 2fa is a manuel process (it requires a person), and the plugin can't read a code sent to an email account or to your phone. And don't delete this message again like you did before, if you can't provide accurate information it's better to redo the video rather than hiding by deleting messages. This time I took a picture of the message in the thread and I will post that picture if you delete it again @echLife
@@AdamsTechLife I tried it 4 times, unfortunately only the sensor and the alarm switch appears ! The camera not ! Perhaps it is so because I am not using a home base ! Here in Brazil’s it’s to expensive for only one or two cams ! I wanted to get the video from our business in my HomeKit !
@@MJKroots Hi, I received my Eufy cam 3 including base today. I have the same problem as you, only the sensors are displayed, no cameras. I'm still looking for the error. were you able to fix the problem? greetings from Germany
