For the door opening alarm, I have noticed the min you can choose is 5 sec delay. Would it be possible to set the alarm to trigger immediately as the main purpose of my needs is to control if my son sneak out during the evening
I run both Homekit and Google Home in my house, and I started with Kasa bulbs and liked them for a while, but then I got seduced by Thread/matter and switched to Nanoleaf Essentials. I have found that they are less reliable than the Kasa lights they replaced. I also swapped out my Kasa light strip for a Nanoleaf version. It's okay, but I should have just bought Philips products rather than just continuing to throw good money after average products. Cameras...that's the one thing I continue to buy from Google. They seem to work well, and I just use a Starling hub to port the feeds into Homekit, which is super easy. It will be nice when a protocol standard is finally realized, and the kinks are worked out so we can get down to judging the products on their quality instead of on their functionality and operability.
@@AdamsTechLife thanks I did watched the video but I couldn’t be sure as from the specification it appears that c225 only 83 degrees if I am not wrong so I would be interested to see how it goes. Thanks
i have had this lock since it came out and never had it go offline. I did have issues at first with battery life, but that was taken care of with firmware updates. I don't use Aqara Hub and just home kit with apple tv and home pods as hubs. I swapped over to this lock from a 400.00 lockly lock and i am glad i did.
Can you remote lock and unlock the using the Apple TV as a hub when you are miles away from the house? I have a m2 Aqara hub and it does not work me. It’s such a pain. Thanks in advance.
Hey Adam, actually there is a v1 of the C225 which I had no idea about. The v1 is not compatible with Apple Homekit at all. There is no QR code to add it and there is no way to add it Home app from Apple. I was very disappointed when I received and installed my camera so I decided to chase for the v2. V2 works exactly as you describe. Not sure if you know about this but could be nice to mention that.
Great video, and out-of-the-box thinking. I have two questions: what is “🌈 Back of TV ON” and how did you make the gesture shortcuts for the workout post-routine? Cheers! 1:25
it turns the the light strip behind my tv on. and for the gestures, I enabled assistive touch and hand gestures on the apple watch from the watch app, and chose the gesture and shortcut to run :) (shortcut must be on the apple watch)
Will you do another video reviewing this product? I myself have been using the original Meross smart plugs for some time now. And I have seen a few videos talking about when the mini ones came out with matter, which are definitely not for me haha. But I’m really curious to see about these! Maybe not as far as replacing all my plugs with these, but definitely for a future purchase!
@@AdamsTechLife thank you by any chance could you share the shortcut with me so I can edit it manually? I find it hard to follow videos because of my visual impairment.
Your thread/matter problems are strange … 🤔. I’ve a lot of Nanoleaf light strips and HomePod mini and I never has any connection problems … But, that’s true it’s the initial « Thread for HomeKit only » and not the « Thread for matter » version. Maybe a problem of maturity …

Hey Adam. Thanks for a great and informativ video. I watched it because I just received the Aqara U200 lock via Kickstarter. I own the M2 hub. I thought I would be able to connect this lock to my M2 hub. I hoped I would be able to arm and disarm my aqara alarm on the keypad (somehow)
Question: beacuse I am not as good and I want something quick and easy to install on homekit and forget about the native app of product, is it aqara waterproof? I don't like to have chime sound in my house can I avoid to plug it but doorbell will still works and I'll receive notifs on my iphone/ipad ect?
Hi, I am trying to add the Govee Lamp 2 to Apple Home and getting a "Unable to Add Accessory - Pairing with accessory failed". I already had IpV6 enabled on my eero mesh router and I have two AppleTVs that are at the latest TVOs release. Any suggestions?
Just scheduled a return back to Amazon for these today. Gave them a shot for a week and ultimately they just dropped connection too often to deal with. Was very responsive when it was working, but today was the final nail in the coffin when they just went offline entirely and nothing could bring them back. They just sat there blinking "no connection" despite thread border routers everywhere in this house, and no matter how many times you reset it. Disappointing.
