Wow Super this FrSky product now you show the signal 2.4Ghz are not the best and 900Ghz cover for the weak and poor spot signal from 2.4Ghz very good job for FrSky team for put 2 output signal 2.4Ghz and 900Ghz for redundancy . But i always think the 2.4Ghz was not the perfec and good I think for the clarety 2.4Ghz

👍 Yes, it's very important to have redundancy in a different band such as 900Mhz. People should realized but most don't.. and that is 2.4GHz band is saturated these days.. consider how many RC radios at the field used 2.4, and your home WiFi is 2.4, and bluetooth on your phone is 2.4.. off course they all use different frequencies and modulated differently and should not interfere, but who knows.. better be safe than sorry if you are flying a $500 RC plane, and don't want to take a chance.. Thank you for the great video. I have the same system, but when I turn the 2.4 off on the transmitter, the system goes into failsafe. The 900 receiver shows a green light and the transmitter shows signal. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

I figured out my problem. The 900mhz receiver has the SBUS out port shared with regular servo port #6. That port has to be set to SBUS before redundancy will work and you can't set the port to SBUS if there is already a plug in the port. Even though my port was set to servo, it looked like it was working as a redundant because the telemetry was showing up on the transmitter, but there was no redundancy.

My setup was with a FrSky R9 MX - Enhanced R9 Series ACCESS receiver which only have 4 CHN, and separate SBUS OUT port, so the SBUS out was dedicated and i did not have to configure it for SBUS out. Yes, glad you solved your problem, and thank you for sharing knowledge. 👍

Hi, very good video. But i have a question: VFR is the Link quality (LQ index) and it is min = 0 and max = 100 ( all package are sent to radio). But generally RSSi is the value of the power of the signal, generally expressed in dB and is max if dB = 0 and min around -100 / -105 dB. Why for Frsky this value is positive? It is perhaps converted? Thanks in advice if you can clarify this.

Thanks for watching. So when talking about signal strength, it is subjective. Different companies used different terminology like you mentioned VFR (valid frame rate) where other companies use LQ. Standard telecom terminology has range -110 db is weak.. and -60 is strong signal. FrSky try to make it basic easy to everyone and had it 0 is weak and 100% is strong signal.
