Really clear: clean: no hype: no padding: just a good use of public time, by someone who clearly has a gift for explanation. A teacher. Few enough of them, in this medium: so thanks!!!
Bruh, there are so many rubbish, helpless videos out there with so many more views than this one. This is exactly what I was looking for and I will look at your other videos in regards to setting this recording setup with the rodecaster pro, thanks heaps legend.
Exactly what I needed to know about hooking up multiple cameras. Thanks for keeping it simple and not having annoying music blaring in the background. I am going to check out more of your videos.
Damn bro,I almost spent money on a device I can probably do without because I couldn’t find any hardware /software solutions to fit the equipment I already have.you just saved me $500 plus dollars. You just got a sub and merch purchase.I’ll be sure to check out your other vids too!
I'm going for a job interview tomorrow who use OBS instead of Wirecast. It's a 4x camera PTZ setup who stream live events.. and this video has helped me LOADS - thankyou
I am having an issue where I can get video feed from both cameras prior to choosing a Cam 1 but when I go to select cam 2 it gives me no preview and nothing is shone. Anyone else experienced this?
I tried to set up 2 cameras and record using your video as a reference but for some reason both cameras won't record at the same time. I only get 1 external camera and my laptops integrated camera. I am not allowed to use the other external camera, any thoughts?
Hey Doubt me, thank you for this video. I have 3 4k cameras with 3 camlink pros going into my macbook, the problem is, when I exceed 1 camera it begins lagging and the recording quality starts to fail in OBS, what is the problem here? I'm going into a docking station that then connects to my macbook, what kind of computer set-up is ideal and mobile to be able to do this podcasting set-up with 3 cameras? Thanks in advance if you can help! :)
Is there a way to automate the camera switching using an audio trigger? So that when ever any one person is talking the camera will automatically switch when the audio goes past a certain threshold?
So the two camera will be a separate file? Let's say when you cut the end product you can cut two cameras? Or it will be one file? I want to record podcasts same setup but 3 camera so therefore I need record all 3 cam
This is informative, Thank you I know now how to set up multi cam. Can you also make tutorials on how to multi microphone atleast 2 mics or more. Thank you
Hi ! I wondered if you've ever had any issue in terms of crashing or USB, with two Cam link 4K going into a laptop. Do the go into the same USB Root Hub ? All good ? Cheers !
Good info brother. My friends and I want to start a little podcast for fun. I already make youtube videos about outdoors and survival skills. This has been super helpful. Thanks so much for the easy to follow information and keep the videos coming man :)
Thanks so much for sharing. For whatever reason, after I attempted to add 2 cameras , I now have to reinstall the camera every time i turn on OBS. I can't seem to be able to install both anymore, They both are connected with a USB capture card. Do i need capture cards?
Is a physical "HDMI Live Stream Switcher" needed? If not? This is Awesome!! I have Canon R5 cameras. I like how quick and easy you present this video. Right to the point. Thanks!
It doesn’t need to be a camlink (as they’re kinda expensive). These generic „hdmi capture card[s]“ work pretty well for me. EposVox has got some videos on these capture cards „CantLink“
i have a question, what if one of the cameras cannot be close enough to the main laptop? if I was streaming a sporting event and wanted an angle from the opposite side of the gym, or such, how would I do that? if that is even possible (sorry if you already answered this question)
Hey! A couple of questions here. 1. What kind of Laptop set up do you have? Seems like alot of cables are pluged into it. Curious about that. 2. If I wanted to mimic this set up with a 3rd camera, how could I do that? Love the vid, great stuff! Subbed.
Great info, thank you. Question on the sound set up. If your dual cameras are both set up with HDMI through the Elgato link, then when you switch cameras, does that mean it also switches the audio to be running from the camera selected?? I have a set up now with a sony X10 with the sound board from the church running into the cam, then the I can mix on the the cam the amount of sound board and room ambiance so give the sound a live but solid sound . If I add a camera in the way you have it set up here, I'm just wondering how that affects my sound. I hope this makes sense. thanks
I would normally have the sound coming through a mixer connected to the computer via USB and the audio from both cameras set to zero (no audio). But if you have the mixer connected into one of the cameras, then the 2nd camera I would bring the audio levels all the way down to zero. If both cameras are on the same scene, switching cameras won't affect the audio source
Hi!.. what if I'm using multiple SJCam4000 with only a USB cable connections?.. Is the camlink still works?.. I'm using powered USB port but still, one camera is resetting.. Can you help?
Thanks for the video man! Do I have to have the cam link for each camera, or can I go directly from the camera to the computer via the cable? Something's not working right for me, and I don't know what I'm missing. I can get both feeds to work on each camera, but one is always overriding the other when they're both on. Might be the missing cam link?
For high quality you will need a cam link for each camera. You can however do this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-O7-mFamLaVY.html PLUS 1 cam on a cam link. But that video shows a method that will work on a budget, but im not a fan of it. I definitely prefer a cam link for each cam.
Yeah you have to do it manually. Watch this video on how to do it with the stream deck. It makes it easier. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--7dUqgbGpxc.html
I added 2 1080p cameras to OBS, it freezes either 1 or both cameras after a few minutes, I have to unplug/plug to reestablish the video. I have an i7 16gb ram gtx1660 , I would think it should handle it. Any ideas?
Go to the Nvidia Geforce app, optimize OBS. Make sure you don't have other apps open at the same time. Also make sure you have USB 3.0 ports for the camlinks. I try to keep mine on USB 3.1 ports.
@@DoubtMeTechI tried everything and may have found the issue.I removed my Pengo 4k grabber from the equation, replaced it and seems to be working fine. NVIDIA said my gtx 1660 will not support 2 1080p cameras but its working ok with both, some flickering, I may need to dumb down to 720p.
I can't get any audios from my cameras. Even when I display all the camera settings info on the screen, it shows I'm getting an audio input into the camera itself as I can see the audio levels moving up and down, however the audio bars within OBS studios are static and when I watch back the recording there is no sound. Please can you suggest how to fix this issue? Many thanks!
Hi, I would to record music Videos in a studio setting with several IPhones! I am not planning on live streaming, even though I might end up doing that too.But for now, i just want record the session from different angles! Can this software record different camera angles simultaneously? So I can edit it afterwards! And can I start and stop the recording of all cameras simultaneously? And where would it be recording to? The Computer or the ssd of the camera itself? Or both? Thanks a lot! Cheers
Hey brother great video and perfectly explained! I have one question, My Omen gaming laptop only has one HDMI port so I can only plug in one capture card. Is it necessary to have two HDMI ports??
Brother if we are streaming with 2 camera ok and In between I want to show video or photo how I can do that?means I want to minimise my web cam and want to show picture in bigger size
@@DoubtMeTech Quick Question: Do you think it would be possible to use 3 GO Pros 7 for video and then use my elagato stream deck while also using 2 USB microphones for 2 ppl in a podcast with OBS?
Hello! I have 2 Sony A7iii and 2 Elgato 4k Camlinks, I have hooked everything up to my MacBook. OBS recognizes the cam link, but when I select it is just a black screen. Any thoughts??
It's not recommended to use USB hubs because each cam link requires a lot of power from each connection. If you're using 4 cams, then I would recommend adding the Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro as your switcher. It will use one USB port but will taken in 4 different cams.
Hi, Thanks for the detailed info. Just a quick question .Do you know if Canon EOS 70D can be used instead of a Sony Alpha A6600 Mirrorless Camera and Elgato Cam Link 4K is a must have to get the setup working ?
I’m looking to do a split screen between two cameras in OBS live-streaming to RU-vid. I have a 2019 16” MacBook Pro with an i9 and Radeon 5600. Will my set set up be powerful enough to run this?
@@DoubtMeTech its not so much the power, its my computer recognizing the capture cards as different independent inputs. Currently if I plug in 2, only one feed shows up
Hi there To connect the cameras to the computer it’s just using that hdmi to usb converter then? If 3 cameras so I need 3 those is that right ? I’m building s podcast setup but I only use canon rp, do you think the rp is capable of recording it? Thanks in advance
Hi,can you please tell me how to connect 2 dslr cameras if I don't have 2 HDMI inputs in laptop?I have 2 camlinks but I don't see 2 hdmi in my laptop.Thank you!
Actually you should watch this video where I show you how to do it with the Stream Deck. It's even better than using keyboard shortcuts. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--7dUqgbGpxc.html
