Thank you for such a fabulous video! I learned some new things I need to do for my monitors. This is so nice that you guys care about the animals after they’re sold, I always buy from you guys online and at the Arlington show for this reason. Excellent service and helpful people as well!

Thanks I appreciate the help! I was actually planning on getting some of those halogens it seems to be what experienced keepers are using. And I may get a uvb in addition just because it can't hurt...but since natural light is better I will try to take it outside when I can to get real uv rays!

which do you recommend is better the halogen bulbs or the powersun? I'd think powersun because of the UV benefits.

With a 12" quince monitor would you say that getting one 100 watt powersun would be the best option it will be in a 4'x2'x2' custom made wood inclosure (sliding front and vents). I want to give it uvb and I guess they start at 100watt, so I was thinking getting two would be too hot and take up too much room. Also I would have to put the lamp fixture inside the cage...What is the best way to do this?

They are a great species to work with. We had one for a good while that was a joy to work with and I was incredibly sad when we passed.... They are a big arboreal species so caging is more difficult than other species.

So do you use two separate fixtures for the two 50 watt halogen bulbs, and another fixture for the 160 watt powersun UV? What about a red infrared basking spot bulb? Jeeze that's a lot of fixtures. Could you help me out, I'm so confused with heating and lighting for the roughnecks!?

They get to max out at about 5ft but in some cases can grow to be 7ft long

it's just recommended just put some reptile tile under your bulb basing area, and the tile can hear up pretty quick, and hold a lot of heat, he should be fine
