I just want to say that your videos have been very helpful and thank you. I got a month old veiled chameleon about two weeks ago and a baby tortoise last Monday. Your advice and tips have helped us a lot and definitely have made it an easier process. Keep doing what you do!
They looks so awesome as adults :D My Korra is just a few months old ( born in August 2015) But she acts just like an adult :D Maybe she is more skittish but i supose thats normal for such a small lizard :) But she always runs towards the glass when i enter the room waiting for food :)
Stella very nice video I would love to get my self a few one day but they are hard to find an when ever I see one so SOO over priced its nuts maybe one day lol great video as always looking forward to the next one
Very usefull video! Thank you! :) These animals, along with 18 other reptile species, will become legal to keep here in Norway august 15th 2017 :) This video was a great place to start researching ;) Btw: Stella ;)
I know that the Basking spot needs to be between 120 to 130 degrees Farenheit but what about the traditional light in general besides the Basking spot how hot does the enclosure need to be because I'm trying to do enough research to actually start saving the money for an enclosure and I want to make sure I get both the right bulbs for the right amount of heat
Ok, so, I'm curious, I have an enormous bearded dragon (almost 2 feet long) who is around seven years old. He never bites or shows signs of aggression and is chill with other lizards. We are planning to buy/ build him a huge viv at some point (at least 4'x3'x3') and have also been considering getting an ackie. My question is, would they be able to go in the same viv if it was big enough?
NO! They are completely different organisms ackies need a much hotter basking spot. And will likely out compete the beardie. Mixing species in general is just not recommended.
Hey! Nice video glad Stella is doing well and a lot better! I recently got a veiled chameleon like 3 days ago and he is doing very well. Not sure if he or she, I see faint spurs but that's it. When will the dart frogs come? Stella
well mostly Im talking about the eclectrical stuff with the light fixtures and the heating light and a little on how u made the sliding door.... so pretty much every thing but the actual walls, which is like three pieces of wood... im also 14 though so I don't know much about building this stuff and what would to use if there is some wood I shouldn't be using
Stella. Ackies kind of remind me of those super smart raptor from Jurassic world. Also how long did it take you to convince your parents to let you get one and was it hard. P.S what are good websites to get them from in Canada
+Ethan Hughes All monitors are very intelligent. I would get them from canadian coldblood or when I hopefully get some me haha. As for convincing I am ruthless haha
Just a quick question, I’m looking to get a baby ackie monitor soon and was wondering if I should get two? They’re currently about 2 months old and have been together since birth. Would it be better to get one or two, any worry about being too territorial ?
what do you mean socialize exactly. i have a baby and he runs as soon as i open the tank i cant even get near him i tryed putting food on my hand but he still wont touch it
stella. I wish I could get these were I live, but even if you could feeding them would be a challenge because the pet stores here don't carry a supply of crickets and roaches(or any insect )
+Mike Tytula I live in the Caribbean, Barbados to be exact. The most common reptiles our pet stores have are the red foot tortoise(if you are lucky you might find one roaming around outside since they are some in the wild......I think they are native), red ear sliders and on a rare occasion you may find an iguana.
Mike Tytula lol fair enough I wasn't sure, I just know that you can find some roaming around the island. But yup that's how it is here. So I really do envy you guys that get to have such cool pets(monitors/komodo dragons being my favorite lizard)
