Good evening, please I need to know which cameras would be good for my church, I would like to put 3 and be able to connect them to propresenter and be able to handle them from there. It would be possible. Please, I would like you to help me. Please, what equipment do I need to have to be able to connect everything.
Hey Boss so I have installed 5 new FoMako cameras I in a church. The church has 10 security cameras also. I am being told my 5 cameras have shut down 5 of there security cameras. Because they are on the same network. Can you help me solve that.
@@AJaytheCEO So how do I solve this, because I am the one that installed these cameras and his setup was there before i came with know problem, i told it's my fault and it on me to fix it
I would greatly appreciate it if you would cover using a ptz outdoors. I have a Fmk30Uh AI and have not been able to figure out how to set it up to prevent wash out. I use vMix HD. Thanks!
as a Tech leader on a new Church plant (in Lesotho, Sourthen Africa), i can testify that i learn a whole lot from watching your videos. i have implemented even some of the things you teach us. i have a question though, Which PTZ Cameras and a Joystick would you reccomend for a Church Plant on a low budget (mainly for Streaming)?
I learned the hard way about setting a static IP address for the camera on the router. I originally set the static address on the camera only and started to have issues with losing control of it in the middle of services after the IP address suddenly changed. The weird thing was that the camera would disappear completely from the network and I couldn’t even find it using its MAC address. Once I set static IP for the camera via the router, these problems went away.
@@hiram9337 I set the static IP address originally on the camera, which caused problems when the router assigned that same address to another device. I lost control of the camera several times during services as a result. Setting the static IP address on the router fixed the issue.
If you use these to live stream weddings for family members that can’t make it. When you set the IP address and then you take all the equipment to a location do you have to set it all back up again or just patch into their internet connection?
If you set the ip addresses and connect everything to a switch they will all see each other without internet. you would only need to change something if the internet you are connecting to is using that same address for something else on the network
Dude this is so helpful! We are about to finish our expansion and upgrading our camera system in on my lap and I’m learning as I go. Do you help people remotely? If so I’d much like your expertise. Let me know please
Because of my PTZ setup I use a gl-inet travel router and a switch that has PoE. That let's me hook up my 2ptz cams and controller my computer and ATEM all through one network with reserved IP's for the devices. I can then connect the router to the clients network or my cell.
Hi. i have bought two cameras and controller fromfomako few months ago on amazon. I will have one streaming on the weekend and on the location owner will use starlink, starlink have only WIFI connection, is there any option to connect your cameras to the controller without use the ethernet port/network? Can I connect your cameras to the controller if pov switch not will be connected directly to the network? Regards
I'll update my three Fomakos. For those that don't know DHCP is Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. I use two different programs to scan my network, Ping Manager and MyLanViewer. Good video.
I purchase the Fomako SDI 20x because of your review but for what ever reason every time it zoom in/out the focus goes out for a while and kind of lag. Any suggestion?
My brutha! Thx for all you do! I purchased 3 fomako (FM20SDI) PTZ cameras & a (zowieTek) ptz controller. I set all the cameras to a static IP address. The fomako ptz cameras doesn’t seem to have anything to enable the “ONVIF” Function. I believe that’s the missing link to completing this setup. Do you have any ideas?
Hey did you connect computer to your Poe? On video I saw two cameras and your joy stick and router line and one more line you did not mention! And if I’m using a single camera do I need to change the ip address that was given when I connected the PTZ ? Thanks!
It is displayed in the upper left of the screen when the cameras turns on. Use any of the upgrade tools provided by the maker and it will show the address, on windows user advanced IP scanner, on Mac use lanscan
Very helpful -- VERY informative! Thanks for taking it solowly step-by-step! I'm sure my application will require a different setup since i stream live sports from a different school each week. I'm guessing I will have to bring a separate router.
Hi Ajay, asking for a friend. Their church has 2 of these cameras. They're working fine with their Atem mini switcher There is a app we want to test, but the cameras don't show up in OBS. Do you know if these cameras can be connected to OBS without a Atem switcher? 🤔 Or where to find instructions to do so?🤔
I personaly love AVKANS, their after services is very great, much better than some brand from USA. And I have to say, their camera are exactly same as some brand.
@@livestreamequipment581 should i spend the extra for marshell? I just want to make sure i can get assistance if i need it. Also for warranty issues is it possible to talk to someone? Thank you for the info.
@@williamoverstreet2210 You can contact them via email. I got replied from Jenny, she is very nice, and very helpful. About the wrranty, I don't know much about it, you should contact Jenny.
Hey Ajay. This video was created 2022. The church I go to just purchased the Fomako 2-23-24. In setting it up today, should I just choose DHCP for the 2 PTZ optics and controller for the IP address?
@AJaytheCEO I will use ptz cameras on the different location where will be evrytime different IP... what is the best ptz fullhd camera for the events like boxing nights inside rhe buildings etc? With easy setup? Regards.
@AJaytheCEO yes, for some reason it won't recognize it even when I add the ip address to the controller. I'll work on it again Monday. Camera responds to direct connection from controller, just not Power Over Ethernet from the POE switcher and controller, can't get them to recognize each other.
@AJaytheCEO I connected the POE Switcher to the network today for the Fomako camera and it recognized the controller and is working now. Thanks. I'm on your PTZ Optics video right now cause the other church I play keyboard for has that and I've been stuck for 2 weeks trying to get it to connect to the controller. Yes, you're the man, none of these other videos on RU-vid helped me connect the controller. Finally. Thanks again.
Would Love the static ip instructions for PC computer. Also you only plugged only network cables to camera but you had a picture, dont you also need HDMI cables ?
Thank you very much for video. It helped a lot. I’m just curious. At 7:45 in your video, why did you set your computer to a static IP address in the 192.168.5.33 and the router to 192.168.5.1? Was it just to be in the same IP range as your camera temporarily? I’m a little confused why you did it. Because later, you changed everything to 192.168.0.whatever for your three devices. I’m guessing you changed your computer back to DHCP.
Yes you would need to add video over IP. I don't recommend it unless you have tuned your network at the video will be slow and require syncing with audio
@@AJaytheCEO Would it be the same kind of setup for a PTZoptics camera? I used rtsp (not sure of difference between rtmp or rtsp ) Sunday but there was a lag (when using the joystick) and the RU-vid quality was really low even though we have 300mbps up/down speeds. We were thinking we should return for PTZ instead. Thank you!
Which cable and switcher are you referring to? There cables and joystick for the camera or my cables and switcher used to record and see the camera inputs?
I am trying to set up my church's cameras for them to live stream. The only knowledge I have is from watching your videos. in the setup of the controller you put in the IP address, then you put in a subnet mask and gateway. Where do I find my church's subnet mask and gateway? Thanks for all your help, and the awesome videos you put out.
If you don't mind, I could use some advice for troubleshooting my fomako camera setup What I have is the fmk20UH (plug-and-play one) with a direct USB 2.0 cable to my laptop, and controlled by the model 601 joystick controller. When I first got it, I could control the camera with the ptz controller, but something got changed (not sure what) and now it won't control it. I want to try and factory reset the camera, but the only way to do so (that I know of) is to use the remote control to do so. Since there is no display on the camera, it is very difficult to navigate the menu, as you're basically flying blind. What should I do?
@@AJaytheCEO Update: Talked to Ivan at FoMaKo, and apparently you have to have your camera hooked up to a monitor to see the menu. This may also work if you plug it into your computer and pull up OBS or something similar, but I have yet to confirm it. Also, on your computer, it shows up as 'UVC Camera' on your devices page; as there's no drivers or anything, it doesn't give you a direct UI. Just a camera feed. But regardless, using the provided remote control and an actual monitor to factory reset the camera appears to have done the trick.
Thank you for this informative video. It has been very helpful I am configuring 2 Fomako Cameras for my church, KN20A and KN30A. We also have the FoMako controller. I have set up the ip addresses for the cameras like your instructions show and can see them in my browser. I also set the controller to a static IP address which I can ping and see. When I press the search button,, I get the message "There's no VISCA device" on the controller. I am confused about how I can add these manually instead?
@@AJaytheCEOello ajay, this is actually the problem I’m having now. My 3 fomako’s need onvif to be enabled but there’s no way to enable it when you log into the browser. The only thing I see with settings in the browser is “Port Onvif”, with a setting of 2000. There’s not a way to enable it to turn on. Help🙏
