Tnx for these great videos. I have been an Android user for over a decade and I've decided to switch to the iPhone 14 Pro. My new phone is literally still sealed, I'll only unbox it once I've watched all your iPhone related videos as they're extremely helpful. Maybe you could do a separate video targeted to long time Android users as I think many have jumped ship this year with the new 14 pro range
Thanks so glad my videos are helping!! I am getting back into the Android world myself after a few years of just casual use. Once I refresh myself with the ins and outs of Android a video like you suggested would be a great idea! Thanks for the comment!
Hi, i hope u can answer this, but i have jsut bought myself a new iphone 14 pro max but i dont have any other devices because i sold my old iphone to get a cheaper price on this new one so i dont have anywhere i can get that code sent to so im kinda stuck, any ideas?
Do you need to use the same Apple ID with the new iPhone or you can use a different Apple ID ? If I use a new Apple ID, will the old iPhone still transfer all the data and apps to the new iPhone ?
Please if someone as been using iphone 14 pro max and give it to another person and the person is trying to reset it and it's not working what can the person do to it
If they are trying to reset it and it won’t work, I would need to know what stage it’s getting stuck at. If the iPhone is still attached to your Apple ID, you have to remove it from your iCloud account or it will be locked to your account and they won’t be able to use it.
Hey mate, I’m on android atm but it’s currently broken and not switching on! I’ve made an Apple ID but it’s being used but won’t let me type my phone number into the space to get a authentication code but it says I’ve tried the number too many times? Any help please?
Seems like you need to try to reset the password or something. I’m not sure to be honest. Try logging in on the iCloud website and see if there are further options. Last resort is to call apple and have then guide you.
Do you have to have your existing phone for the ID bc my phone broke and it's now a black screen so I cant use it unless I get the screen changed but there is no point of that
You can setup from iCloud I believe but only things that are on your iCloud will be transferred. Other option would be to plug the old phone to your mac or PC with iTunes, back it up then restore the backup on the new phone. Might be better to go to apple and have them help with the transfer.
Thanks for the great video.... If you think your old phone is corrupted (doing lots of strange things) would it be best to set up as a new phone and not set up from iCloud? Can the corruption transfer to the new phone?
Hmm, it depends on where the corruption is. I would set it up as a new phone and slowly add items from the cloud back in. See if anything acts up and try to pinpoint the issue.
If you make a mistake in the "set up" process (or get interrupted); is there an option to redo the process? (or perhaps edit parts later?). Also, I'm from Australia, so my iPhone 14 Pro Max will have a sim card tray. My sim card is from a very basic android phone, so can I copy the 'contacts' from the sim card to the new iPhone? _Thanks in advance!_ ☺
What if your old phone is broke and you cannot receive the Apple ID code from your existing account? (3:50 to 4:04 in your video)? Do you have any suggestions?
Hey I followed your every step on the how to setup iPhone with old iPhone and the new iPhone(IPhone 14 Pro Max) always get stuck while transferring data or preparing data transfer and I’ve reset and everything and it’s gone up to 18 hours for estimated time please help
Not sure how deep it goes to be honest. I rarely use this as I tend to start fresh with each new iPhone I get. Posts I have read online do say that app settings and content do transfer over but they don't specify everything.
Hi Daniel, my new iPhone got stuck during setup. It keeps trying to download the 16.0.02 Update. (My old phone is already updated). This has gone on for 18 hours already. Both phones are fully charged and connected to a power cord just in case. The new phone keeps locking itself during this process - but I don’t see a way to change that. The old phone has Lock Screen turned off. I cancelled and restarted both phones. Setup initiated again and the same thing happened. Any suggestions?!
