Dude I just bought coils and thought it would be way more straight by forward. It’s not exactly hard but understanding preload and matching heights is hard for my dyslexic butt :( not sure if my car is currently safe to drive 😂
@@CasperTheGasserit’s pretty simple… that top lock nut you loosen it and the spring should have a little play, then tighten with ur hands till the spring stops moving and the locknut gets tight. Then the bottom lock nut u tighten it to just touch the top one (don’t go all the way) then move the top one just high enough to where u can put the coil over wrench in between the two to add 4-5mm of pre-load and then lock the bottom one! My car felt a lot better after doing it
Bro wtf are you talkin about obviously this is your first time lmfaooooo you shouldn’t even have to touch the top collar either it came with preload already accounted for or while off the car you set preload and keep it like that theres no need for extra work smh 😂😂😂
You have to then make the collar below come up to the top collar (not tight) then tighten your preload until it’s the 8-10 mm depending on manufacturer
@@aLexGeNeSiS01it’s the size of your spanner wrench. So once you have the top collar touching the spring. You tighten the other one to the top collar. Then you tighten the top collar until there is room for your spanner wrench to fit in between. Then tighten the one under the top collar and you’re all set.
