Hello, Thank you for making a tutorial on this beautiful dress. I purchased the pattern/course on your site. I have watched the before you start video and the step-by-step video at least 100 times. I have also read through the e-book, but I am still not understanding how to make the gathered skirt. Per the instructions I've cut out 2x rectangles at the length from your chart and the width of the fabric bolt. However I'm very confused on what to do next. So I've taken my front piece and I've cut the tip so that there's a little dip at the top. But if I sew on the back piece, to the side of the front piece, then the dip will no longer be in the center the way your diagram shows? Both diagrams (how to cut and then the diagram at 9:26) are confusing to me. I'm also confused about the other cut you make the the rectangle. In the video your side seams appear straight when you sew them together? but based on your before you start video, would this be curved? Perhaps I'm not understanding which parts of the rectangle get cut and sewn together? It would be immensely helpful if you could provide more detailed (beginner) instructions on how to cut and sew the skirt. I've scoured the internet trying to figure it out (literally spend hours). I would greatly appreciate your help! thanks!
Hi Lexi, I did not even see this comment. I hope I have responded to you via Facebook! Probably been solved by now... I do think you have a point with beginners struggeling there even though its super simple. Once you have done it its that ah, I get it feeling and you wonder why you were stuck in the first place!
Hi, does the pattern include the seamallowance or do i have to add it when cutting? If so, what is the seamallowance i need to leave in each side of the patterns?
I bought belle dress pattern, I am using age 3-4, but the center front piece is wrong. I alredy cut it on the fabric, How can one fixed and do not waste the fabric since i only bougth the exact amount I was supposted to use?
an absolute ton, depending on the skirt. Check out the Etsy listing it has the details. www.etsy.com/listing/505565442/princess-dress-pdf-sewing-pattern-for-a?
