Some people call it a camp collar, it's also known as a bowling shirt, but I personally prefer a Cuban Collar Vacation Shirt.
In this video tutorial I show the exact process I went through to sew the collar of this camp / bowling / vacation shirt.
I made mine out of a nice heavy linen.

@@CorneliusQuiring Thanks for your reply. Well I'm looking forward to seeing all those new videos. And before I forget. I want to pay you a compliment. I like the fact that you're using a vintage Singer sewing machine in a cabinet. And a singer machine that was one of the lower price models. This goes to prove a point that I've always felt strongly about. You don't have to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on a sewing machine or sewing products, to be able to turn out good work. Especially in today's economy, nobody can legitimately spend that kind of money. So thanks for proving that sewing can be for everybody and not just those comfortably off.

Saudações do Brasil!

I have not made any of my patterns available just yet, but plan to in the future. For now I suggest using a basic pattern off of freesewing.org

Get a basic button up pattern off of freesewing.org, then all you have to do is tweak it with what I've show here and boom, you've got the pattern!

Hello amazing tutorial ❤️ new subb, may i ask will this method works if i want to do a double yoke?
@CorneliusQuiring
@CorneliusQuiring Год назад
I imagine it should work, yes. I think you could even tuck the collar inside of the double yoke if done in the right order.

Unfortunately, no pattern is available at the moment, but if you have a basic shirt pattern to begin with, you should be able to replicate this on your own :) Good luck and thanks for watching.

Where did you get/how did you make your pattern pieces before cutting the favric

I made the pattern pieces myself based on a basic torso pattern I created many moons ago. I plan to eventually make full tutorial on drafting tops.

Hello cornelius, I noticed that one of your arms appears larger than the other. May I ask if there is a reason for this difference in size?
@CorneliusQuiring
@CorneliusQuiring Год назад
Keen observation. Yes, my right side is smaller from a farm accident as a child. I learned to sew to make clothes tailored uniquely to fit my body. I go into a bit more depth about it here: cornelius.ooo/my-story/

This is a pattern I created for myself. If you have a pattern for a shirt like this, a slight tweak to the design and you'll be able to make it. You could also make it from scratch based on this video
