In this video I show you how to sew a dye-sublimated(3D printed) costume. Links: holyheroesdevo... 4neodesigns.com/ www.spoonflowe... www.fabricondem...
Super cool how simple it is to sew together a dye-sub printed suit! Excellent to see your son sew this - encouraging for someone new to sewing like me.
Glad to know you're back! I loved watching your videos, and was eagerly awaiting for some more ideas for costumes, I just wanted to know, Do you have plans for making a tutorial for the Spider-Man eye lenses? I was thinking about making a Spider-man costume, and wanted some tips, Thank you for reading this :) and Congratulations on your adoption! :)
Welcome back. Congrats on the new addition. How did you doo the Spiderman eyes? The material on the mask did not have them on there, so I was just wondering about that as well. Could you please do the video on the scaling of the patterns? It's been one of my biggest issues so far with costumes. Although, your one video about your other patterns is great, and has helped so much. Thanks, and keep up the awesome work.
Thanks! The frames for the eyes are leather and the lenses are perforated privacy window film. I'll definitely do a video on scaling the patterns and possibly one for the lenses too.
How many yards does that equate to? Fabric on Demand has a min quantity of 3 and almost $40/yard? Seems like it could be cheaper to use a print and sew service. 😕
Hi Scott, I am writing to you, because I need your advice. On one of your movies on youtube, I saw that you were using Plasti Dip on Batman Mask Coud you please tell me, how does plastidip "act" on rubber/latex? Does it crack/chip after some period of time ? I am asking about this, because next week I have chance to meet Val Kilmer and I would like to give him batman mask to sign, the problem is that mask itself is not black enough(seems to be faded) and I don't want plastidip to peel off , after some period of time with the signature. Noone is going to wear this mask, it will be kept on a stand all the time. What do you think about this?
Can a dye sub pattern be printed onto powermesh fabric? Because I'd love to do a suit using silver muscles under mesh like the movie Superman and Black Panther suits. Has anyone done this?
