I found the equation in step 10 super confusing because it's not written the way algebra is taught in US schools. So, for Americans: [circumference/(2*3.14)]-1 The circumference is in centimeters and the -1 at the end is -1cm. In the example, the circumference is 57 cms. The order of operations is MDAS, and you do the stuff in parentheses first, then brackets, then the whole. The equation is solved as follows: [57/(2*3.14)]-1 [57/6.28]-1 9.076-1 8.076 That's how the OP got 8 cms. Your head circumference may be different, but for consistency, I'd do the whole equation in centimeters, then convert to inches if you prefer inches.

Um, I don't really understand the part with the rectangle, I understand the rest of the steps but not the one with the rectangle, I don't understand how to sew it please help OwO

The equation is to figure out the radius, but why did you subtract 1? I understand that it makes the radius smaller for rim, but why is it not another number?

Just use the circumference of your head eg 57 cm divided by 6.28 (2*3.14), then minus 1, you will get approx 8cm. 3.14 is prime in maths
