Fringe, fringe, fringe! It makes any costume sassier and more fabulous! In this video I'm showing you how I made my dance costume with fringe sleeves made from fabric!
I was inspired by Sharon Sharealike's video on fringe to try making some of my own using fabric instead of pre-made trim from the store as I've done before and the result was definitely fuller and fluffier! All you need is about 3 yards of stretch fabric and a matching thread :)

Kyne you are honestly amazing. I've been struggling with sewing since I was about 15, and I'm now 31, for the first time ever, while watching a tutorial, I actually feel confident I can do what I'm being shown. Not only that- but I've really been wanting to get into drag and create myself a drag persona but I can't seem to find any queens willing to teach me the ropes.. :( Even my local queen kind of just turned her nose up at me after knowing her for years.

Personally I prefer cutting swirl fringe out of squares. It gives the fringe a more angular look and helps to give them more shape. But this turned out really well!

Hiiiii wonderful costume 😍 I have a question... when you take your measurements... do you take exactly the measurements of your body or do you decrease everything a little bit because of the stretchy fabric? I mean... the final costume should be very adherent to your skin?

Just, fyi, with this method of sleeve sewing u can hem the sleeve before you attach the sleeves while its flat. I do this for doll clothes because they are tinier.
