Me too, as well as being easy to make, this is my favourite type of dress to wear. It suits most figures. I do however prefer a short sleeved or three quarter shift dress. Thank you, your a great teacher, I have subscribed.
Just subscribed thank you for your vids, totally a novice, my mom was a great at sewing I was in school, then, life and married children now I wish I had taken the time to learn. 🌺🇨🇦
Amazing video, thanks for showing us how to do this. I am a beginner, and have only made lined tote bags so this looks loke a perfect first clothing attempt. I think we call a serger an overlocker i the UK.... maybe.... whatever that is, I definitely want one. The finish is completely LUSH!! Have a great day. X
This is a great project for beginners! It had 4 seams & you can wear it! Lol yes y’all totally call it an overlocker! You need to add one to your sewing room for sure! Happy sewing! Tag me in your project when you make one!
Good morning, You inspired me to take the plunge & I ordered my 1st sewing machine. So far I’ve made 3 pillow cases that turned out well! Your explanations & videos are easy to follow. Question on this pattern what is the size range? I’m an XL but also would love to make one for my daughter (size girl 7)
Ooooo love how you have used these weights to hold down your pattern. I like this pattern and will work with what I am trying to achieve. I am wanting to make some outfits for roller stating at the rink. I will use this pattern but would like to add some slits on the side (Do you think this would work with this pattern?) I will wear the dress with leggings while skating.
Hi there! If I use a cotton fabric without a ton of movement, should I add darts to the front? If I add darts, do I also add length to the front pattern piece?
You do not need to add darts for woven fabric. Watch my other shift dress video too where I use a woven fabric and add pockets. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Xjo3zpPT4IE.html

Hello I like your sewing videos I was wondering do you or can you create a video on quilting your own fabric using quilted fabric to make a bomber jacket or a thick layer coat or explain plz and thx u
Love this video and thinking about making this. Although just checking before I go and buy the pattern - the description says it’s free? But website says $10? Am I going doolally? 😅💖 thank you x
@@SewAnastasia it says it in the description of the video - "Anastasia Chatzka shows you how in her new sewing tutorial and it even comes with a free pattern you can print at home! "
Thank you for your quick response to my question. I appreciate that hopefully with a little practice looking through RU-vid I will get better at this but I do want to sign up for that. Thank you very much.
@@SewAnastasia i’m having a hard time navigating through the app like where you put links and different things. I watched a video on how to do that and sometimes in some of the videos I’m still struggling to navigate through there correctly and find different things so I started watching other videos to show me how to navigate through your videos lol.
I am sorry to comment on this but ragggedy nail polish is very distracting. Especially different bright colors. It kept me from enjoying the video as much as I could have. You are not the only person to do this but it was so bright !
Wow .. rude. She is trying to teach you something for free and then you say something so judgy... “raggedy nail polish” if something distracts you, that’s a personal problem.
Like others say how rude I had to watch it a second time just to see the nails as I hadn't noticed them first time I was actually interested in a very easy and practical make. perfect nails mean nothing to me apart from the fact the person with perfect nails doesn't do much you'd definitely hate my nails Ive done lots sewing for many many years for myself and others I'm also a cyclist and do my own maintenance on my bikes and I'm also a cleaner as my job and as long as my nails are not jagged. Or dirty when I sew for myself or others that's fine by me how does patchy nail polish distract from the garment cutting and construction I fail to understand your criticisms no one in this world looks perfect and shouldn't have to either ,this is a video about how to make a nice simple versatile dress of which I've made a few my advice is concentrate on the garment not the hands
