I just love your tutorials! I haven't sewn since I was first married in the 80's. Thanks to the pandemic, I have gotten back into doing it with your instructions. I can play it over and over again. Mr Patch, Maybe try this instead of backstitching. Set stitch length to 22 stitches per inc. Start at edge and sew thru seam allowance and a tad bit more. Then switch back to your chosen stitch length to finish sewing the seam. STOP just SHORT OF other seam allowance, reset to 22 stitches per inch and finish to edge of fabric. Voila! This method saves thread and reduces bulk. Got this idea out of a sewing methods book.
