My neighbor showed up at my door about an hour ago with two big boxes of upholstery samples! Over 100 pieces, mostly 22x17(inches), with the paper already removed! Prints! Solids! Textures! Metallics! Leather! Suede! Tapestry! I thought, "Only Christine will understand why I'm so excited, lol." Whew! I gotta go calm down now....... 😅🤣

You can put a piece of fabric over the back and iron it, or give it some steam, then put a bloc, or some flat weight on it to keep it flat as it cools. A minute or two. It's harder to melt it when it has that backing on it, AND you're putting a piece of fabric over it as well. Do a test piece that has a fold or kink in it, if you want to test it first.
@ChristinesHomeAffairs

@@ChristinesHomeAffairs cant wait😁. Looking forward to seeing the new machine. I bought my first industrial one back in October/November and have not regretted it. Always used home sewing machines which are good if you want hundreds of different stitches, but to be honest i only ever use straight stitch😂😂. So when i saw this one i grabbed it and so far have not regretted it. It is also at a good height. Other machines always gave me real back ache so having the machine in a table works wonders and i can now sew for hours on end without any issues. Just love it. Thanks to you and all your videos i am kept very busy💕
@ChristinesHomeAffairs
@ChristinesHomeAffairs 7 месяцев назад
@Venetia2 when I migrated to industrial machines about 2-3 years ago, I thought I'd still need something with stitch variations. In all that time, I've only had to do one zigzag and one buttonhole. I ended up teaching myself how to darn, and one day will learn how to do buttonholes with the industrial machines 😁

Lovely bag. Rubbish double sided tape. I hope you find a good one. It looks so much easier than pins etc. So glad you did the handles with red showing. 😀😀. And I agree the handles look better without the little metal hardware pieces. so I think it was a good kind of “mistake”. You teach me so much with your tutorials. I didn’t realise that changing needles for different fabrics would make so much difference. Lovely bag. X

Christine. I have teflon sheets used for pressing transfers/vinyl lettering into items. Magic grill mats are similar . I put one under and one over your vinyl fabric and low heat Press (not iron) the fold. Try on sample. I've been using teflon for 30 yrs also for fused interfacing to save residue from getting on iron and ironing board surface. WORKS GREAT for me.
