Thank you sooooo much. Finally someone that actually finished the garment in the back!!!. I’m a beginner and it’s very easy to sew a neckline on one panel even for me but the explanation of additional seam allowance and would have never thought of the back facing. Thank you
You're a legend. Thank you so much for this video, I've gone from scratching my head to 5 perfect V necks. You explain it so well and sufficiently slowly. I also like the way you encourage beginner sewers! Really good, thank you again.
That's such great news and such fantastic feedback....was just discussing yesterday if I should not put so much detail in the videos so this is good to hear. Have fun, and Thankyou for making Scrubs. Tree x
I cant believe how quick I did it 25mins to do the v front and back facing using the second example. I made a mock up mini version of a scrub top. This is so fantastic not bothering with the other version thank you. xx
That's so funny.....yes, it is good. We use it sometimes cut on the bias and not so wide so we can go all around the neck like we would ribbing. Glad you liked it. X
Thank you so much for this! I'm not making scrubs but a tunic for my mum. I've never done a v neck let alone a facing like this before, but you explained it well enough for me to feel fairly confident that I could pull it off. And it worked! (I did the easy way). That feeling when I flipped it over and everything lined up was awesome! I didn't even get any puckering at the point of the v! I also love that you included the back!
Thank you for this very easy to follow tutorial. My pattern for scrubs were so confusing I actually stopped making my scrubs, looked for a video and found you. Now I can finish the top. Thanks again.
This a great video! I have been sewing for years and always sew my back facings before the shoulders. This is so much quicker! Really clear instructions. Thank you!
Thankyou for taking the time to feedback. Glad you enjoyed our little trick with the back facing....learnt a few tricks in my past in manufacturing. Tree x
I made 4 batches already from this tutorial. Now Im making it again and everytime I make, I always play it again to refresh. Thank u so much. BTW, Im a nurse and I love scrubs
Very happy you went over the making of the scrub v neck. I have had a time making my first scrub top. This helped a lot. My son in law is an RT in the pedi/ neo department...he wants me to make him tops that will appeal to his little patients.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this tutorial!!! I am making McCall’s pattern M6107 for my daughter and I could not figure out the instructions. Your tutorial walked me through it in a way I could understand and it turned out great! THANKS!!!
I did my very first v-neck band today, it took me to watch 2 you tube vids and then I got it right. I like you 2nd method very much and will sure try it on my next project. Thank you so much for making me see the sence of a v neck and giving me the confidence to try it. I've always stayed away from vneck bands because I could not figure out how to do it 😊
Loved your video. Crystal clear, easy to follow instructions. Will definitely use one of these methods on my next scrub top. I am a healthcare worker from Saskatchewan Canada
This is just the video I needed to see! Love your demo of the V neck, you made it very clear in both methods. Now I will begin to sew a V neck top to my daughter. Good job!
I watched so manyyyy clip about v neck ( of cause, a beginner) and love yours very much. Special thank for complete it with how to attach it to the back psc. Warinda, Thailand
Thank you so much for your clear instructions. Now I understand it, after ruining a top from another video. Made my first scrubs from following your guide easily. I prefer the first video , only because it's the way I now feel more comfortable with.🤗
Yes....using a facing is much easier and there is no practical reason to make them with this band, it's just an aesthetic thing. Good to have a play with for future sewing projects. Tree x
Hi! Thanks for sharing these methodes. I had a dress mourning for 2 years only because I cut the v neckline too wide. I use the first methode and it's great. Thanks again
Hi, I will continue to use the V shaped facing as I find it very easy to do and get a neat finish, but I love the way you apply the back facing, will definitely be using that tecnique. Thank you so much.
Hi I really liked the second way of doing the v shape neck band I do the v neck shape very regularly on sports tops I really liked the second way of doing the v shape neck band
i really preferred the easy one, so so good you're really an angel and a likeable character too, quite dry but cute and down to earth - keep shining xx
That's a great help, the easy way for.me I think. I will give this ago so hopefully it will.be tidied. Pembrokeshire for the love of scrubs are called scrubbers!!!
Great videos! And so cheerfully delivered too. Loved them. I will tackle the easier border for the V neck as my simple one didn't turn out too well! Thanks again Angela
Ok and Thankyou so much! So glad you found these videos helpful and don't be too hard on self in terms of perfection. They will be very grateful, and I'm sure will embrace any minor imperfections.... X
Thank you so much for this, it is by far the best one I have done so far. I liked the easy one and the finish is brilliant much better than the other methods I have tried 👍
Thanks for the video. I have been sent the main pattern piece of the top as we are now making nighties for the patients. It will be a big help for me to make the facings as my scrubs didn't have the band style neck line.
Hello, that's such a great idea. You will find it helpful yo watch our video of How to Sew a Nurses Scrubs Top ru-vid.com/group/PLlhJMC_7RMEmuPv-g8YC729Iv2uzbMzI8
That really makes sense. I actually have a video of how to change the scrubs pattern for the top, with inset sleeves, into a Dress with all in one sleeves. This would be good as a night dress too. Thankyou.
STITCHLESS TV how to sew your own style tutorials yes it’s very similar to the way I do it. I learnt it on Abi’s Den on RU-vid, she’s showing scrubs too. Your videos are so easy to watch Tree, you have a very natural way, keep up the wonderful work. I hope and pray your Mum is ok ❤️
Your video is perfect and easy to follow! Thank you for sharing! (I’m sorry I posted a previous comment here meant for another video! I’ve deleted it now!)
