Nice! Is there a way to make this same style dress but make it with more sturdier fabric? It will be a work dress and I would like for it to last a long time

Is hail a winter thing where you are? It’s considered summer weather here in south east Queensland (Australia), because we get some ripper summer storms (like the one two weeks ago that blew a very large gum tree through the roof of my best friend’s house. Not onto the roof, through it! She’s living in a hotel with her family until it’s all fixed- maybe four months). Anyway, hail is a thing we only ever get with our summer storms, so it’s something I associate with summer only.

Yeah I live in Southern California hail is big weather. We don’t get much of any weather. I am a weather wimp. It’s just usually full spring by now. We do get big wind in the fall too! I hope hope that tree didn’t fall on anything or one.

@@QueenDeLuxe luckily, she paid attention to her gut and moved everyone (5 kids, two adults and two dogs) downstairs about two minutes before the tree fell. So no one was hurt, thankfully. Just the car and the house- both of which were insured. It’s just that it’s a scary situation, and a hotel isn’t a great place for kids, unfortunately.
