How to Sew GATHERED SKIRT / With SIDE ZIP and POCKETS

Hi Guys,
Welcome to my channel. In this video I show how to make a gathered skirt with pockets and a side zip from scratch using 2.5 yards of fabric. Its super easy and very detailed. Please feel free to ask me any questions in the comments or leave suggestions of what you would like to see more of from me.

Materials needed:
2.5 yards of fabric (90 inches)
scissors
Tape measure
Office pins
Sewing machine
Needle and thread
Tailors chalk

lovely skirt and demo, the only thing i found was the pockets and skirt fabric being both the same made it a bit difficult to see what you were doing with the pockets, but It is just my opinion, and the fact i am very new to pockets and zips and need it shown very clear and slow lol but as i say love your skirt and demo well done.

I used to sew oo, I actually did clothing and textiles in secondary school. I haven't touched a machine in years. Thanks for sharing this, it's making me want to sew something 😀😀

I love gathered skirts. It's beautiful and simple. However when I make them and wear I look poofy inside, possibly ild make it shorter when next I try to make it. Nice one 👌

You can reduce the amount of gathers, so that it’s less bulky at the waist area. Another way would be to cut it as a regular flare with little gathers. That way the waist will not be too bulky and the bottom side will be full.
