For a few weeks, I've been looking for these locally for a cloak I plan to make. But I couldn't find them in appropriate colors.I finally decided to use big long buttons, as they are easier with cold fingers. But now you have me wondering if I should consider trying to make my cloak reversible, to have these on the inside. If I can find the right colors. My hand sewing skills have improved hugely, so I'm not afraid of these things any more. Your had sewing definitely looked better than what the sewing machine did.

Thank you for this tutorial. Question, rather than my two sides meeting, may I overlap just a bit? This is for a top rather than a jacket and so I don't want any of my skin showing... will a frog closure still work? Thanks in advance for your counsel.
