How to SHAPE Oboe Cane | Reed Making TUTORIAL 

Hello oboists and oboe fans! In this week's video I'm shaping some cane for you so you can learn how to shape oboe cane. Shaping is a huge part of reed making and is a variable that affects your tone and intonation. Adding this variable to your reed making gives you more control over your finished product.
To follow along you'll need:
Gouged cane
Shaper tip
Shaper handle (+hex key if needed)
Box cutter
Easel
Old reed knife
Nail file/sand paper (optional)
