How to Share a Folder in Windows Server 2012 

When I click on File and Storage Services, I do not have a Shares or iSCSI option. Do I need to add features?

simple and compact, another easy way to do the same job is right click on the folder , go to the properties, click on sharing, click on advance sharing, if you know the user name type in user name , go to edit and click on full control and click add and there you go , you ll see the folder being shared between server and the client. feel free for any further queries

1) I can't find the newly created share folder on my Windows 10 PC (Sharing from Server 2012). 2) Is it possible to give a friend at his home access to a directory on my server to share files instead of using DropBox etc?

great video - thanks for the upload - quick permission question i want to be able to create a share, and within that share are folders A,B,C ( users can't edit, or remove A,B and C ) just access them. and then inside A,B,C user can create and edit remove files and folders from within. permission/share issue but not working - any suggestions. thanks

Let me see....I created a volume from 2 physical drives in Virtual Box and I shared the created volume....because I want to have people access the whole volume....not just a folder...but in my other host computer in the network I have a windows 8 and "They can communicate, I ping them" but I don't see the volume in the network....any ideas

Why the F he is doing all around sharing job. you can open server explorer from task bar choose whatever folder you want to share set up users you want to share and permissions. no need to run 100 distance around making 1km
