Also, the m16-13sfg is awesome. R.I.P. Kit Carson. You may be gone, but I'll carry your designs as long as I live. Out of all the knives I've ever owed, most of them have been Kit Carson designs.
I've been a fan of good knives since I was knee high to a polecat. I remember when you couldn't find a pair of jeans that didn't have a Schrade, or eventually a Shrade Walden pocket knife, Old Timer or Case. I still remember my first Old Timer pocket knife, steel blade that would rust when I fell in the creek, but would take an edge like nobodies business. My first fixed blad Buck, which was a beast and the coolest lockblad I owned - a Case Bulldog, beautiful mahogany handle. I bought them all with my hard earned cash. Then I joined the Army and my small collection of Made in America knives, along with my '55 Chevy Belaire 2 door hardtop were never seen again. (if you were sittin next to me you would have heard a big ol sigh.) Family is family. What can I say? You ain't gotta like 'em or especially like what they do i.e. like sell your car and who knows what else while you're serving in a crappy foreign piece of dirt, but you gotta try and love 'em. In the Army Benchmade and some Gerbers became my tools of the trade. Then a SOCM brother of mine pointed me to the CRKT Ignitor with Veff serrations it was his go-to knife as a civilian. I could see the potential, but I wasn't convinced until I got my own Ignitor with Veff serrations. As soon as the blade cleared handle I was testing those serrations and they cut like a katana through hot 0W-16 motor oil. Next step was to pick up one for my Boy Scout son as a gift. It's now his favorite carry knife. I'll tell you this, with those Veff serrations you gotta be careful. You might get away with a very slight mishap in handling other serrated blades, but you just barely slide those Veff serrations against something you don't intend to cut, i.e. a finger or something, and there will be blood. I can neither confirm nor deny said blood letting, at least from my own finger. Bottom line - Veff serrations are THE BEST knife serrations in the known universe. I came across this video because my go-to sharpeners (Worksharp) and my own sharpening stone fall flat on their faces when it comes to sharpening said serrations. Thanks Mr. Jeff for being a serrations genius and sharing the intel on how to keep those serrations, blood letting sharp!!. Time to check my dowel rods!
I wasted a lot of time. I had a CRKT M16-14SFG for years. The rear screw fell out and I tossed the knife. I spent around 20 hours researching a replacement knife. I just reordered another CRKT M16-14SFG. I probably did the same research years ago. But at least now I know the correct way to use and sharpen the Veff Serrations. Thanks.
I'm about to order a M21 with Veff Serrations but I can't find the Veff sharpener anywhere. Why was it discontinued? Does anyone know where I can get one and have it delivered to Australia? Cheers 🤘
I like the serrations. I just picked up NEW the Seismic.... with Veff Serrations tried cutting a regular band aid off and to my surprise THIS KNIFE IS DULL.... not kidding it’s like a butter knife... terrible. Guess I’m headed out to hardware for the kit and sandpaper. What’s going on CRKT😱
I need to get this because my m21-14sfg buff serrations are crap right not not chipped or anything just not sharp and I've been having problems with some blade play on the same knife it's got some blade play when the pivot screw is tighten it down to how it should be. But I have to tighten it so tight to eliminate blade play that I can't open the knife with the flipper.

I'm trying to decide wether I'm going to make this or order the kit. I have no idea how this happened but my veff serration on my ignitor has chipped. I only use the knife for cutting cardboard and cutting open packages. The chip bugs me enough where I want to grind it out.

Thrasher Ofdeath any of the M21 knives are going to be bigger than their M16 counterparts. The M21 knives are also heavier duty, and therefore heavier(weight-wise)
