Today we are starting the work on the engine bay of the EG STREET BUILD
Here is a Step By Step guide on how to shave a tuck your honda engine bay!
this applies to all engine bays, the process is the same but this is a honda specific shaving and tucking process.
Materials needed to get this job done -
- grinder
- welder
-bondo/body filler
- sand paper
- tape/plastic
- primer (paint)
-finish coat (paint)
- clear coat (sealer/varnish)
Here are 10 steps to shave and tuck your engine bay!
Step 1 - You have to figure out which holes you wont be using and needing.
Step 2 - grind all the holes that you dont need and you want to fill.
Step 3 - start by welding all the unwanted holes shut.
Step 4 - grind the excess metal welds flush.
Step 5 - start applying bondo/body filler on those grinded welds
Step 6 - sand and fill sand and fill until you are satified with how it looks
Step 7 - wash the entire engine bay with water then dry it
Step 8 - cover all areas around the bay with plastic and tape to prevent overspray
Step 9 - apply primer / your base coats with the choice of colour.
Step 10 - apply 2-3 coats of clear coat to seal it / clean up
