A quick guide to shimming your diffs! Today we're fixing up and repairing the LOSI 3XL-E with some much needed shims added on the front and rear satellite gears and planetary gears. We'll also shim the upgraded TITANIUM input pinion to make sure the mesh is more loose than tight on the crown gear. These differentials have a notoriously clunky clicking noise stock out of the box, and the factory steel pinions get STUCK while spinning, or don't spin at all! This easy mod will help that annoying problem shearing pins, breaking teeth, and sounding loud every rotation.
