Can someone please help! I'm shipping my first order of shoes with their box .. my question is on the ebay it says ship via fedex. Do I have to ship thru fedex or can I ship thru usps? Also I dont have a printer can I write the info with marker or pen then at the store will they print me a label?
This video was very helpful and no need to apologize on it taking long. I appreciate you taking the time to help ones such as myself who are just starting out.
I'm shipping shoes today and searched several videos for tips. Yours was best info for me, so THX! Sometimes I ship lower priced shoes with plenty of padding but without a box to save on shipping. I wondered if that was OK, good to hear you do same
I just got a negative on ebay from a customer who didn't like how I shipped the shoes (water shoes, and the buyer never contacted me of course) I wrapped each shoe individually with tissue paper, put them in a plastic bag, wrapped it in bubble wrap, used a priority shoe box and put shipping paper both ends so there was no movement in the box. Not sure how I could have done better unless I drove them to the buyer and placed them right on their feet. I never had a complaint before.
Thanks so much for the comprehensive video. I've been selling on Posh for several months, but needed to figure out how to sell shoes on Ebay and knew you'd be able to help me out. Cheers!
Technically you still have to upgrade your label regardless of what box you use. But if USPS catches the underpayment, it’s charged to poshmark and it seems poshmark doesn’t usually charge the seller.
So I have a question. When selling shoes on mercari, let's say I use that Mailing shoe box. I annotate the weight in mercari , the label is then created in the app for whatever carrier you want to use. How much is the actual shipping cost for that specific box? Or are you selecting to ship the item for free and using that box. It's confusing because once you add the weight mercari gives you options for which carrier to use, then you select a label but you already have a mailing shoe box. So are you not selecting shipping options or just selecting free shipping to the buyer and using that box. Wouldn't you have to know the weight and price in advance to use the mailing shoe box?
Thank you for such an awesome and thorough video. FYI. You should try the USPS large regional B Box. It’s long enough to fit tall boots and big heavy coats. Chic1stylist
Great video! Does the usps send you a statement for underpaid postage? No matter how I weigh, by even adding a buffer of 5oz, I seem to get billed for underpayment. Wondering if it’s common. I had My scale checked by the post office and it showed that it was weighing under 5 oz. Any tips on weighing? Also try a tape dispenser, it’s incredible how much time it saves!
Referenced back to this video for like the 5th time. Today it was to see the size of the ebay boxes you get so I can use my coupon on them. Thanks for the #evergreen video
Thank you so much for explaining Poshmark Shipping. Im new to Posh and I've been totally confused about using the USPS Priority for everything even if under 1 pound.
I have sold on ebay for nearly 20 years, part time. I have a Basic Store. I don't receive the coupons from ebay quarterly, as you mention early in this video. Do you know if the coupon is tied to the level of store ? TIA !
you mentioned poshmark has the buyer pay the shipping. what happens when you have sellers from random parts of the country buying your shoes from another website that you use, and you don't use a flat rate box, how do you account for shipping price ? does the buyer get a random shipping estimate or do you assume which box is gonna be used and use whatever shipping fee you'll use and put it on the website as the fee before selling.
@@DealingWithDalton and for Priority Mail, can you use your own box??? Not USPS branded boxes. Another question, why would you use your own box if they provide boxes for free?
😥 I'm a bit confused in the service selection when using the modified box. If my shoes are bit over 2 pounds am I supposed to select priority mail service or the priority mail box?
@@fabulousfinds1045 & I answered that lol & provided context for any other questions you may have about other boxes. It is called a “priority mail 1095 box” therefore it is not flat rate
I don't get why you wouldn't want you use the seal already built into the box. Tapping it up is good as well but seem like be so easy to fold in the sides, peal off the paper and close the end. Great video, watched other videos where other people do the same.
The only box I use that has a built in seal is the 1095 box, which is the one that gets modified. When modifying the box, the seal doesn’t line up with the other flap so it’s useless
