Thanks Paul - I never thought about doing silhouette photography. Another new genre of photography for me to try out. 😊

Those spiders are fantastic! Really cool idea, I'll have to see if I can find somewhere to try it out.

Superb tips and advice, thank you! Your images are beautiful. I'm not a fan of spiders but the photos of those are really amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Must try and have a go at this!

Thank you very much John. It was really great to do something a little different. Don't mind admitting I was a bit freaked out though.. there were hundreds of them!

Great video full of valuable tips and some cracking images too. The concrete causeway at the beginning of your video looks very familiar 😊 I visit this nature reserve about 3 times a week as it's only a 20 minute drive away for me. I'll be sure to say hello if I ever bump into you there 👍

Excellent video, plenty of great tips as well. No issue spiders, on my second trip to Nepal back in 1999, was sat outside a tea lodge and hadn't noticed the web with 50+ in it. Did grab a photo but thats back in film days

Hi Paul, great video. Can you please help. All my birds in sky come out as silhouettes, even with 1000 ISO, f14 and 2500th second. R6 sigma 150-600. Any advise be much appreciated.

It sounds like you just need to add some exposure compensation. So on your camera you need to overexpose, e.g. +1. This will make it brighter.
