This is absolutely amazing. And your work is stunning ❤❤❤Too many nobody photographs with less than mediocre skills mislead so many young aspiring enthusiast it’s not even funny anymore. We need more pros showing us how it’s done. Subscribed. I know this channel will blow up FAST. Thank you
@tjmanou6422 thank you so much. I 100% agree that people should listen to advice from people whose work they admire and respect. Photographer's giving advice should be able to back up their points with stunning images 👊
Thank you Andy for sharing your knowledge, experience and skills with us. As a wildlife photographer I always look to my peers and superiors for advice, tips, tricks and feedback for ways to improve my own skills. I subscribed to your channel and look forward to hearing more from you. Good luck with your channel Andy.

Beautiful images, Andy. Thank you for sharing. Shooting for yourself is a key piece of advice. It is so important that you have a driving passion to photograph subjects that resonate within you. Nature provides opportunities to those that are knowledgeable & deligent in pursing their craft. Patience & luck will also play their part. At the end of the day, if you are content & pleased with the images that you have produced, I believe that you have achieved success. Best wishes for your channel.😊
Great stuff Andy, lovely to see an ethical and experienced man as yourself on RU-vid. I’m sure you’re going to bring so much value to people starting out and also the more experienced photographers. Best of luck with it and I look forward to following your journey on here. Rich 👍
Excellent introduction Andy. Really looking forward to what looks to be a wonderful new channel from someone who obviously knows what he’s talking about….stunning stunning photos…subbed!🤙
I am excited to have found your channel at its beginnings! I have only recently begun to study and practice photography, and I am looking forward to following and learning from you and the channel. Wishing you the best!
Brilliant introductory video Andy - absolutely have subscribed and eager to learn from you via future episodes. Thank you for making this resource available to us 😎
Right up my street!!! A great and inspiring introduction Andy. I appreciate your time, wisdom, passion and un-selfishness to share what you do best in the remarkable field of wildlife photography...Thank you.
Hi Andy, welcome to YT. I have liked, subscribed and thoroughly enjoyed your opening introduction into your photography channel. I can't wait to pick up plenty of valuable tips to improve my own work. Good luck
Welcome to the crazy world of RU-vid Andy...brilliant to see and the very best of luck with your new channel....about time even more of the world saw your brilliant work..hope you are keeping well !
Really looking forward to seeing how your channel develops. It's also so great to see another ethical wildlife photographer, so many people say 'hide photography isn't real wildlife photography'.. Crazy thought process. So often there are many questionable techniques I have seen, on youtube and in the field, they want the shot without thinking about the most important thing - animal welfare... I went to Isle of Mull in June and the amount of photographers I saw sitting on the edge of the water waiting for the otter, then overhearing how disapointed they were no otters showed up - surprise surprise! I've been doing photography since 06, but I am still mediocre. But lucky to be in the animal/conservation industry - so lots of opportunities to get good. I am really looking forward to the advanced tutorials. Your photography is insane. One day achieve a cover of the Nat Geo, and win a competition once or twice.
@Boiga. I definitely share your concerns about unethical or inexperienced practices. To us they are just images of wildlife, to the animation could mean life or death. I carry that awareness with me every single day! Thank you for your support!
Fantastic to see you here, been following you on Instagram for ages and loved your content there. I greatly appreciate the documentary approach to your work…as it is, nothing cloned out!Good luck with the channel, I will be there for the journey.
Awesome images Andy and congratulations for the Front Cover of National Geographic. I am Scottish and we have mountain hares in the Highlands but I've never managed to get a decent shot of one.
Thank you Andy and congratulations for your 1st YT video, which I find very inspiring. Your sense of aesthetics and humbleness is a rare staple nowadays. The one-to-one coaching I had with you a couple of years ago has been very helpful. For next topics, I suggest the following: - how to find a creative workaround in case of heat haze when the subject or action is worth a try. Heat diffraction can mitigated by a change of angle but that is not always possible in a NP in Africa. Best of luck for your channel.
Andy, if you are the same person I think you are, I just wanted to congratulate you on your success. It is amazing what you have achieved in your career and it is so wonderful to see. If you are the same person (who used to live in Crich), we met as you were just starting out, and gave me some great advice about getting images accepted by photo libraries, and took me photographing water voles on cromford canal. You are a great inspiration of what can be achieved by risking everything to follow your passion. I am so pleased for you. Well done mate.
@@davidniblet8183 I am indeed, and I still live in Crich. What an incredibly kind comment for you to leave, and thank you so much! It seems a long time ago that I was photographing the water voles, how time flies, but please do message me if you're ever back up this way, it would be great to see you again 👊
Andy is a fantastic photographer, there are some others like Andy Rouse, but he does not put a lot on RU-vid. I would love someone to do videos like TV programs. Andy Rouse did this 20 years ago which I believe was on BBC TV. You don't any programs on TV about photography anymore even though it is a major hobby for millions around the world.
Thank you for your willingness to share. If you're open to the topic, I would enjoy seeing some of the failed images from a shoot. All too often we only see the best one from hundreds. I think I could learn more and faster by seeing some of the lesser images, and a discussion of what makes them inferior to the best of the keepers.
I'm currently in Brazil, and since starting my channel, I'm looking at the images that I produce completely differently. I was in the process of deleting some fails just a day ago, and I suddenly realised how useful seeing them would be. In short, 100%, I will definitely be doing what you suggested. A guesstimate would be that 90-95% of what I shoot is fails!
Thank you Andy for starting this channel. Its great pleasure to watch your photos and its really a treasure. Very educative, looking forward to more educative videos. Wish your channel a great success.
11:13 This 😍 shooting for myself. And if it doesn’t turn out great, at least it was fun or instructive 😅 Congrats on your new channel, will indeed follow. Very inspiring with the shooting local as well -it has stuck with me since our talk about it (in a Jeep in India a loooong way from home😆)
Wow. Welcome Sir. What a start. I´m looking forward to watch all the wonderful stories that I´m sure you´ll bring along and, as a plus, some photos and footage too. Let your passion, experience and knowledge be the driving factor for the success of this channel. Greetings from Norway . Jose
Thank you so much for this inspirational video. I have been shooting a long time, but recently hit a deep creative slump. Your work, vision and genorisity have helped to get the camera back in my hands again and out the door. Thanks
Excellent delivery and sharing of knowledge from a true and passionate wildlife photographer. Great start to your channel and looking forward to what is coming up. Keep them coming Andy ❤.
Superb opener to what promises to be a fantastic series on wildlife photography. I have been a fan of your work for years, really looking forward to the next episode!
I never comment on RU-vid. I just want you to know that's great content right there, I was hoping there would be more videos from you but I found it's a new channel. Just subscribed to your channel, you will go big very soon.
This is great. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience Andy!! I have been following and reading your Instagram stories for years. Looking forward to see more amazing content here. All the best!
Andy, looking forward to following along. I recently shifted my channel from hiking and backpacking to nature and wildlife photography videos. Your videos will add to my education. Thanks.
Beautiful photos. Looking towards the upcoming tutorial vids. So rite about getting out often shooting locally to gain that shooting experience. Nothing beats time in the field, real world experience. Also helps one stay in tune with their gear. Thanks for putting this up.
Congratulations Andy on your new channel. I hope it works out for you. Good to see and hear you again and looking forward to your next video. As ever your images are just sublime.
Thank you so much for creating the chanel Andy. It is always inspiring to see your images and learn a bit more about how you created them. Look forward to more videos and tips!
