How to Shoot Fireworks - Settings, focusing, composition Tips 

Thanks for the tips! I came across another technique, which is to leave it on BULB mode, cover the lens with something opaque like a book (without touching lens), and then fire the shutter. When the fireworks go off, remove the book to expose the lens and cover it back again before hitting the shutter button. Helps if you either don't have a remote shutter, or your camera does not have mirror lock up, which can cause slight camera shake. Haven't tried it yet.

I am wondering if I could use these tips for a wedding I am doing on Saturday, they are planning on releasing lanterns at night, So I am hoping to get some good shots. Also, what is your opinion of the Nikon D5000? I know its not THE best to be used for a wedding, but its what I have to work with right now. I have the Kit lenses and I also have a 35mm portrait lens and the SB 700 speedlight. Any tips or advice you have would help. I LOVE your videos. by far the easiest to follow!

Boss if a lens does not have graduation scale for focus distance (Like 18-25 and 55-200 canon EFS) lenses do not have focal length scale then how do u focus at infinity.
