@@williamryan9195 I don’t have a choice with my edc right now as it’s not or, so yes I have to train to be as effective with it just on the iron sights. Hahahahaha. My rifles have optics though.
@@princevalencia8816 I'm a minimalist when it comes to firearms, EDC and optics. I laugh at people putting dots on their carry rigs. But my idea of defense and choice of carry are based on different criteria. So if you are option driven go for it. Maybe it will be an edge when you need it.
I have always been taught through courses to hold the grip basically to were your hands covered the entire part of the handle and no grip was showing. I have never tried to adjust my grip more forward until now. That was amazing and super impressive. Im definately going to go shoot some with a more forward grip and try to learn that. Made a lot of sense as far as eliminating recoil.
Leverage of grip force. You can squeeze a firearm as tight as you want, thats not going to mitigate the UP and DOWN movement of the muscle. Leverage on the base of the grip via the wrist and pinky will keep that muzzle from dancing. I learned that from Rick Crawley with AHT. And it works
1:45 min is just unbelievable. Okay, he's not that far away, but these two shots so perfectly in the nose in fractions of a second and at the same time very relaxed and easy to announce that he's doing it that way? Too crazy these pro shooters... .
I wish i had a range set up just like this at my house along with a 1000 yard range . It would be awsome if i could walk out my back door and put in some work to make myself better
It honestly does not take that much for a 25 yard range. Look at your backyard and buy one plate or tree at a time. The next thing you know you will have a range full.
I always held my support hand like his. I watched other videos and it made me think I shouldn’t hold it that way. Well since he seems to be the goat I am going back to holding it like he does.
There is another little secret that any top shooter will tell you….I am telling you that it’s not under power ammo but the last secret it is pull the palm for the throng hand foreword and the finger of the left hand push back the same amount of force, and the elbow flex and push in . Soo you can shoot like him
The size of his double tap groups are directly related to the short reset of the Glock trigger and its low bore axis. I observed this in the early '90s as an LEO when I switched from a 3rd Gen S&W to a Glock 19.
@@jamesday7344 He didn't say it was smooth or breaks like glass, he said it has a short reset. Also, different Gens have different triggers. Btw. I don't own any myself, but I'm attentive when I read.
@@jamesday7344 , the factory stock Gen 5 Glock 34 trigger is much better than previous Glocks. I tried one recently and it was even better than the Gen 5 Glock 17 I tried during that same session.
The old saying comes to mind when he planted those two on his nose…Amatuers practice till they get it right, pros practice till they don’t get it wrong. Shooting is like breathing for this guy.
You think he wouldn't still be fast? I suppose you believed him when he said "it's all in the gun". He was being humble... Bob could beat just about anyone with any gun...
Not to mention there are much better guns than Glock for quality, accuracy, features, price, and ready to go out of box. Most likely this is a trigger job helping here.
There is talent, and there is skill. You can learn a skill, but you can never learn to be talented. This is natural propensity. He learned to enhance his talent through skill.
At this point he doesn’t need sights for targeting, it is all muscle memory now. Just look at what he wants to shoot and let his arms take over. They know what they are doing. I know it’s not exactly the same, but when I played pretty much professional paintball, you don’t use sights. You just use your eyes and let the body take over.
Hey Bob that’s a wicked DT brother I have to try your grip rolling the wrist further forward I have a Glock 23 gen 3 with the baldr mini Olight there is a little shelf like space where I rest my thumb of my left hand It helps control muzzle flip a lot
Did he really tried to look inside the barrel after slapping loaded mag into the gun?!😮 0:25 Good example how over confidence suffocates safety. The shooting is spectacular though! Thank you for sharing
good job taran t, THIS YOUNG MAN IS LETHAL IN PISTOL SHOOTING, I SALUTE YOU COMRADE BOB VOGEL, HOLLYWOOD LOOKING MAN, NEW GENERATION OF SHOOTER AFTERDEADMAN BOB MUNDEN AND AGEING JERRY MICULEK, YOU ARE THE NEW PISTOL SENSATION!
I love the education and video. Your expertise is far beyond what I could feasibly achieve. A question I have on several videos, are the power of the loads being used. I know Guns are tuned for competition, but running a factory gun with +p defense ammunition seems like a different animal. Maybe I just need more recoil practice than I can afford.
Great shots. Is the spring stock? I really believe the G34 is the best pistol for accuracy and combat. Just curious how that slide comes back so easily and virtually no recoil
Similar to what I was taught in military. During a military qualification there is a lot of changing mags and other stuff, he has the advantage of standing still, but no doubt he’d score perfect 240
The gun isn't comped , so there's really nothing about the gun that helps cheat recoil , besides the fact that a 34 is a larger gun (which does help) .
10 time world 🏆 champion... Pretty obvious why. Reminds me other the Marty Robbins song, big iron. "Red hadn't cleared leather before a bullet ripped."
how come he drops the mag and taps it all the time? i can tell it's more of fidgeting thing with how often he does it, but is there any point in the first place?
