5:30 in, it is possible to "achieve that light and airy style you're going for" without shooting for it. However, it is much harder to achieve if you don't shoot for it. I'm finding this out first hand as I've just now started learning about the light and airy look that is quite popular in wedding photos. I have an engagement session coming up and you can be certain that I will be shooting for the look then! I suppose I missed getting the free preset. 😩
I typically pull my highlights slider down some to try and avoid having them blown out. But I will say if I have to choose between a well-lit subject and a sky, I’m lighting for my subject. I’m ok if skies are blown out in some shots.
your information is good, but adding multiple example photos would have made this video worth saving and referring back to. please add sample photos. the video is about photography. Where are the photos? Where is the tool you use to meter for your subjects? Hard to learn off of a video with no visuals.
