Do you find yourself in a position where a professional real estate photographer can't make their way to you?
Is it possible to pull off professional real estate photos without the professional photographer?
YES!
Most of the same principles of real estate photography can be done on your own phone. And phones these days often have ways of shooting in high quality formats that can be edited the same way we edit professional real estate images.
I'll walk you through three steps and break those steps down. At the end, you'll see what I was able to do on my run-of-the-mill Google Pixel 3 phone.
*Preparation Tips (Interior Design)
-- Kitchen
-- -- Hide Trashcans
-- -- Clear Surfaces
-- -- Clear Dishes
-- Bathroom
-- -- Close Toilet Seat
-- -- Clear Surfaces
-- -- Open Shower Curtain
-- Bedroom/Living Room
-- -- Straighten Sheets
-- -- Remove Cords
-- -- Fluff and Place Pillows
*Camera Tips
-- Camera Settings
-- Camera Height
-- Camera Tilt
* Composition Tips
-- Frame Shot with More Walls
-- Lines of Sight
-- Subject: The Room
I'll end by showing you a bonus tip, of how you can pull off real HDR photos.
But remember! Editing the photos is half of the work. You'll want a professional to do those for you. But by following the above steps you'll put yourself in the right position to pull off professional looking real estate photos with your own phone.

Acceptable photos, better than you would normally shoot photos, etc are not necessarily "professional" photos. AND, "professional" photos does not always mean good photos just because someone is paid to shoot or shoot with something other than a phone. I've seen this in all forms of photography. These are still great tips.

Thanks, Matt! I pull raw photos into Lightroom, adjust them there, push them to Photoshop when I need to correct something, save it (which creates an updated copy in Lightroom), and then mass export all photos out of Lightroom.

I have been using a 18mm lens by Moment. It attaches to my phone via a phone case also by Moment. I spent under $120 for the case and lens. FYI if you're using a gimbal it the lens adds weight to phone and off set the balance it would otherwise have. Make sure you gimbal or tripod is set or is able to handle the change in weight and balance.

Ok, but you didn’t show me how to do the low, high, and medium HDR on the iPhone. I’ve looked on my iPhone and I don’t see where to do that. I have an iPhone 13. I just did some research and I guess it does not have the option you are talking about.

Hi Thiago! We made this tutorial for the agents at our agency. They send us the photos and we take care of the editing. It was a way for either an agent or even a homeowner to get quality picture done during the lockdown.

Man, it is called exposure bracketing! Some expensive cameras have it, and phones just use an app and presto!

Shooting phone photos for real estate lol. This is a terrible idea and YT compression makes it more believable. Don’t do this, get actual photos
@joevarga5982

Taking RE pics with a cell phone is a BAD, BAD idea. I tried it first hand, and it's costing me dearly. Several agents have told me that my photos don't make the house look as grand as it is. A cell phone does not have a wide angle lens. As a result, rooms AND the property look VERY SMALL which is LISTING DEATH. I'm having little interest as a result. Get a REAL camera like a FULL frame DSLR and a 16-35mm lens.
@LakeLivingPA

S21 and S22 ultra definitely have wide angle as does the new iphone
@joevarga5982
@joevarga5982 Год назад
@@LakeLivingPA That may be adequate, then. Most cell phone cameras aren't wide enough. You should have a 90 deg. angle of view or more.
