You were the greatest Teacher to teach me what I was looking for 2 years ago. The solution to connect my A7RII with other programs like Lightroom, Capture One and Shutter Stream. Sony itself did not want to give these tips for using only its program. It is now allowing use with other software. You were the best and will help me a lot. Thanks. Flavio Albuquerque from Brasil
Hi thanks for this video. However when I shoot every time the images go into import. I then have to import it and go back to the test folder.. What am I missing? Shooting with a7rIV. Thanks 😊
Hi Manuel, thanks for the information. When I shoot a picture from remote, a window in lightroom keeps popping up, asking how to import the image in the catalogue. Do you have any tips how to fix the problem? JB
Just found this later down the comments and it works: Unchecking the 'Display preview with the selected program' in the Tools/Settings menu of your Sony Remote software will prevent Lightroom from popping up. And in Lightroom, make sure to uncheck 'select the current/previous import collection during import' option in the Lightroom/Edit/Preferences menu. This worked for me, hope it helps. =)
Thank you for the tutorial. It was very helpful. But I have faced a problem. When I tether shoot with Lightroom, the Lightroom import dialog window (or box?) pops out. It shows the thumbnail of the first tether shot and stops there. If I want to see all the tether shots, I have to click cancel button of the import dialog window, and go to Library or Develop module. Even then, when I shoot again, import dialog window pops up again and stops with one thumbnail. What's wrong with me or my Lightroom? Please help me.

Thanks a bunch. I have a weird thing going on . When I shoot tethered using the Imaging Edge viewer, the shots appear briefly on the screen, but the latest image only lasts a second or two before the screen defaults back to the first image shot in the session. For portrait sessions, when the client is adjusting poses etc., this is frustrating because I have to walk back to the screen and click back on the latest image for every shot. With Lightroom, it takes me to the Library view first and then quickly moves over to the Import module with a thumbnail view. I then have to click cancel and it returns me to the regular Library view. Help!!
Im using a7iii and havin a problem with liveview setting while i use flash. Is there still only one way to solve this? by functioning result preview? that u mentioned in your forum?
Hi!!! I’m using your cord to tether my Sony to my MacBook. I’m using imaging edge remote to a watched folder to Lightroom. Works ok but the issue I’m running into is every time I take a shot the import screen from Lightroom comes up. How do I turn this off?
Prim Smutkochorn sadly no. They said it’s Apple that is causing the issue. I am stuck to the wire for a moment. You can either use old software of pc for the time being. I’m not happy.

I know how to fix it!!!!! Go to Remote/settings then uncheck the box that says display preview with selected program. I don't why it works but it does. I was on the phone with Adobe for about 2 hours and he figured it out. Thank GOD!! Let me know if that worked for you.
Lordele Greenyer I figured it out. Restart your PC or Mac. Insert Cable to both USB ports and then turn the camera on. Works every time I’m having a connection issue.
This solution has a HUGE caveat: It takes a long time (10 secs) for each new image to be displayed on the screen. If you want to do a studio shoot, this is useless. I wonder if there is a way to tether faster.
i have auto import setup in lightroom after using the image app to take a picture it doesn't go straight to the develop tab it asks me if i want to import it????
