It seems like your set poundage and release poundage is very light compared to setting the trigger at 5.5 lbs and release at 24 ounces-why do you do that-and where do you set the release-thanks for all the great instruction!!!
I am new to trap and this is exactly the video I was hoping I could find. I observe that for the bird on the right you shoot ahead until the gun is parallel but for bird of the left you shoot under and close to the target. Wonder if there is a specific reason for that?
Hello Stan, I am a new trap shooter and i caught the trap bug! Thanks for the videos. I was wondering if you could make a video on gun fit. I know there are a lot of videos on shotgun fitting but i have not found one on specifically trap shotguns. I recently bought a combo trap shotgun and was hoping to figure out how to setup it up to fit me properly. Thank you
Hey John glad you caught the bug my man!! I would be happy to include a video on gun fit. I think its best to set your comb (POI) first and then adjust your barrel. We will include all the school of thoughts as well. Keep on shooting My Man!!! Your friend Stan
Wyatt, try cheating with your footwork geared more to shooting the sharp right also try holding your gun to the right of house. Remember if you get straight away take your time shooting it, you have plenty of time to hit that bird. See you on the line my friend!!!
Sorry I just noticed your comment!! I was shooting my backup gun that day a Ceasar Guerini Summit. That was my first love in trap before moving up to Kolar.
I can shoot skeet with my good Ole 870 pump and costa sunglasses. Don't think I'm fancy enough for shooting trap yet , may need to try some fish eggs n carbonated wine first
