To be fair, this to me is the quickest and easiest way of doing this alteration. I've seen a couple dozen of these tutorials and this is by far the easiest to understand. Great video!
You know how when, during a story, you say "long story, short..." but then find yourself mid story with no way out like 10 minutes later? This is the equivalent of that.
Isn't it better to do this from the shoulder instead so you're not messing up the sleeve taper? And this alteration also gets way harder if the buttonholes need to be functional, right?
I am a seamstress and have to hem some sleeves for my son-in-law. The buttons on the end of a sports coat don't need to be functional and there is no way in the world you would alter the shoulder to make the sleeve shorter. That would be like living in Michigan and driving to Florida by way of California. If you think the sleeve taper is gone, then just take in the sleeve width.
Да, меня тоже заинтересовало, как быть со шлицей, если на неё не предусмотрена ткань. Ну , видимо - такой компромисс. Но с учётом того, что сделано "на коленке" - качество вполне себе неплохое.
Fix the sleeve from the bottom part is the easiest way of damaging a garment. Except when the tailor remake identically in the way it was made since the beginning.
Quick and easy! LOL!!! My advice for whom that not familiar with those kind of stuff is to bring it to real tailor (it’s really not expensive) It will be very bad to ruin new BOSS sport jacket.
It was just OK Job if you’re looking at the end of the picture, she put on the wrong side the vent and the buttons . The vent supposed to be open and on opposite side
