The killer instinct 405 is my first crossbow I shot it at the range 20 yards at Field and stream and hit the target dead center the bow instructor there sets all the Scopes
Move your crosshairs from the bullseye to where you just hit. Then shoot another at the bullseye. That's the easiest way to do it. I always get the windage backwards. But if you're keeping the crossbow very still, you should be able to do it.
When you site in try to use a rest. Then start at 10 yards. O the scope. Then take your 1st shot. Then adjust your levels. You will get it after sum shooting.
What if the cross hairs need to come up about 4” but it ran out of space to move? At 20 yards it hits about 4” high every time and I can’t get it to turn anymore
Verify that your scope ring mounts are both on the same orientation. Try tapping your scope turrets lightly to “set” your adjustments. You can also try backing the adjustment backwards 20 clicks and see if any movement. If none of that works, email contact@killercrossbows.com
I just got the boss 405 For some reason every time I go to shoot my crossbow I’m shooting 1 1/2” low and I have to sight my scope in again every time what do you thank the issue is?
Loose rings maybe. Every time you shoot, the bow shakes. Unless those scope rings are lock-tited in place (and even if they already are), they can come loose and affect your scope accuracy. I realize your question was 3yrs ago so I assume you've already figured out what the problem is. I hope you had success!
What does each following increment in the scope identify as? Ten yards or twenty yards and will these be accurate after sighting in at twenty on top recticle? Poor video leaving the rest of this information out.
This is a universal scope that covers a range of crossbows that shoot different speeds. Start by sighting in the center of the reticle at 20 yards. Your first drop down will be roughly 30 yards if shooting approximately 400 fps with 400 gr bolt. You will have to identify your drops after you set your zero.
Hi Chris! The dial on the left hand side of the scope is for turning on the reticles lighted illumination, it is not needed to do for the sighting in process.
