and if you live in the West Midlands where the roundabouts are fucking weird, always pull up in the right hand lane and do a few loops whilst you scope the situation out.

Daughter in driving seat being taught verbally about roundabouts by her driving instructor, he’s taken nearly 25 mins to explain, thought i would come on RU-vid and see about roundabouts, this video is so simple to understand roundabouts, could of saved £33, never mind!!

Good effort, but why are you complicating the roundabout by positioning the red car at 9o'c position? You always enter the roundabout from 6o'c position. It makes it a lot easier for students to visualise. The way a student sees it, the red car isn't going straight ahead, its going right.

3rd exit is wrong, you should be moving to the left lane as you’re pass 2nd and leaving on the left lane…

This is actually incorrect - you may use either lane when going straight ahead if there are two lanes or more on your exit road.

Unless roadmarkings indicate otherwise. For example if the left lane has a left turn arrow in it you will then need to use the right lane to take the 2nd exit.

Would be great this if !!! you used the bottom road to demonstrate. When looking at roundabout sign’s we’re always entering from the bottom 😊

I do this, always have done. So many just take their lucky favourite lane and never indicate its like a giant roulette wheel

Since the road isn't marked for directions and is a dual carriageway way to dual carriageway. You can also use the right-hand lane to enter the straight on rosd in the right-hand position

As someone who had a learner driver (with instructor) pull out of the lane to my left as I was heading to the second exit - this reassures me that they were definitely in the wrong!

They say to enter either lane when turning right but this is bad, always go to the right hand lane then signal left to entr the inside lane once you enter to prevent crashing into drivers on the inside that may come in fast behind you from the last road you pass.

Some roundabouts for the second exit (straight on) can be marked to use lane 2. You need to add in, use lane 1 if no road markings saying to use another lane or you will have a lot of drivers doing it wrong and possibly causing accidents.
