I know this is 3 years old, but I’m very new to silhouette and making as well as printing stickers. You my dear lady just made it super easy and I could follow you along and understand. THANK YOU for helping this 53 year old learn a new skill! 😊
I’m so glad that these videos can still help anyone learn a new skill!! Feel free to message me if you ever have any questions that my videos don’t answer. I can usually help since I’ve been around the block a time or two with silhouette! 😊
@@pitbullmomplans THANK YOU very much, I just may have to do that! I was trying to cut some that I purchased the cut file from a nice ETSY seller yesterday and for some reason, it just won't cut. I have the proper file, correct kiss cut settings for me, and still couldn't figure it out. I will try again today.
@@happyone444able send me a picture of the cut settings and things when you try again and I’ll see if I can help 😊 (although it is 8:30pm where I am currently sooooo might be tomorrow 😂)
@@pitbullmomplans I so appreciate that! Somehow I gathered the strength to try again and played around with the "simple, line, fill" area. For whatever reason it wasn't working on the "simple" option, but when I played around with the line area, I got it to cut fine. I have no idea exactly what I did, other than think about cussing a whole lot, which I was able to refrain from. I so appreciate your offer to help!! Thank you! 😊
Love that you make them in smaller sections and store in photo book. Great idea. Thank you for the icon app. I thought I was going to have to design them all myself. Huge time saver.
Thank you! I've been thinking of getting a Silhouette but have been very intimdated by it. You made it look doable. :) I'm looking forward to the rest of your videos in this series.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH my gosh I could just HUG YOU FOR THIS! I've been trying to find icons and had no idea -- I don't want to sell them, I just want to make a few random stickers for my planners! YOU ARE MY HERO!!
@@pitbullmomplans I'm a total newbie to making anything planner-sticker related but when I looked at the cost of sticker kits, I knew I wanted to make my own. I have Adobe and a Cricut and I'm getting a Silhouette... (I have the software already since it seems to be what everyone has). I can't get rid of my Cricut because I have like 45 cartridges installed and I certainly don't want to lose those but finding a balance between them all - yep! Totally overwhelming. I was thinking of creating a template in Photoshop that I can use to put my digital papers in as boxes and stuff but you don't find a lot of tutorials on this... so yeaaaaaaaah I'm probably not a LOT of help because I'm not exactly sure where to start with a lot of these things! hahahhahahhaha BUT... I'll totally watch. The creating a kit and learning how to recolor it so you're not recreating the wheel each time would be awesome! :)
@@Mamadriggs I can totally make a video on that!!! I actually have kit templates that I use over and over!! They’re so easy to make!! I’ll make a video today for you!
Thank you for this video. I can’t wait to try making icon stickers and more. Remove your mat from the stickers such a simple thing to help it not curl so much.
This was SOOO helpful! I've been looking for a video like this. So super newb question - it is a printer and then also the silhouette right? The silhouette doesn't also print..? What it looked like but just making sure.
Great video! Quick question- when I drag and drop the icons into silhouette studio the outline turns red instead of staying black. Can you please help? Thanks!😊
In the top left hand corner is the colour selector for whatever item you have selected. Theres a line option and a full option. Just switch your red lines to black
Thanks for the video you did great job here with your first tutorial. I noticed when using Flat Icons you have a list for giving attribution to creator of the icons. I am curious, how do you go about attributing on your sticker sheets for selling? Thanks
Which silhouette are you using? Design or Business? I am using free one n was following your video but cannot get boxes to size for icons. Please tell me what I am doing wrong or if I need to upgrade software, though I don’t have machine yet.
I've never been able to change my printer settings so I don't think so! I always try to have a light on it though so it can detect the registration lines better
Click the one that says trace outer edge. If it’s still tracing everything, that means your design has holes, so it traces the insides too. It’s it’s got an outer edge that goes all the way around (like a heart with no holes in the outline) it’ll only trace the edge
