And seriously, I believe my biggest problem is which you were saying during the first wash. You just have to power through it! I am constantly getting frustrated or discouraged in that first wash and have a tendency lately especially, to start over or even just put my brush down!! So thank you for those words of encouragement, very helpful!

Great vid as always my friend!! I’ve been super busy the last two weeks and haven’t made enough time to paint. So I’m watching your most recent videos and enjoying a creative Saturday! Also, I know you have said it before but for sake of ease could you please tell me what brush you are using(the travel brush)? The point on that for it being as big as it is and the amount of control it seems to allow is impressive and I want one! LOL! Thank you brother, stay safe!

Well I guess I am going back to find the digital simplification lesson (I think you should link it bc you talked about it in this vid) but thank you for sharing this lesson! So good. Watercolor for me is so funny... I am really good at painting detail but ask me to do an impressionist watercolor and it takes me forever sometimes to see the shapes! It should be the opposite, right?! What app are you using to posterize your images? You are really good at both but your palette is so dark it scares me off sometimes. Do you have more than one palette depending on the subject? I have a couple because I commission a lot of dogs I have one full of browns and fur tones but I have another palette that is set up for desert landscapes (I live in Arizona) with greens, cobalts and quins. I can't tell you how much I love the color of the rocks here. They are just between the colors red oxide and quin rust. Mmm Mmm Mmm! As for white pens, try out the white gelly roll pen. Its not water soluble like the uniball but its great because it comes in dif tip/nib sizes 05 08 and 10. Just an FYI in case you don't know- you should store gel pens flat in arid climates to keep the nibs working longer. I also like the fine point white posca pen for touch ups sometimes. I have had better success with uniball, posca and gelly roll sakura pens stored horizontally rather than vertically. They don't clog up as fast. Not sure how you store your pens but thought that might help. Keep up the great work! Love your videos dude
