Thank you, Christof! You're a breath of fresh air in the Dimash reactor community. Your explanations are so informative, and the fact that you can demonstrate the variety of techniques Dimash uses is incredibly beneficial to understanding. I will be watching this multiple times, and looking forward to more from you.

Hey Christof, thanks for the explanation of the vocal registers of the male voice. You certainly have the knowledge! You explained it very well but forgive me that I'll have to replay this video more than once to understand it better. Everybody has his speciality. It is clear that you've also studied to be a teacher, you're doing it great! I like Dimash a lot too btw ;-) xxx

As so many have already said, EXCELLENT, CLEAR, and EFFICIENT explanation of a somewhat confusing subject that lots of vocal coaches don't seem to have a good grasp of. I thought I had watched this before, but I know I'd have remembered your great demonstrations and simply masterful use of Dimash clips to illustrate each category. Just brilliant, man. As a teacher myself, I couldn't be more impressed with this video. Bravo, and encode. Yet again, I'm reminded how blessed I am to have you as my vocal coach on my journey to loving and enjoying singing more and more. Thank you, @christofchapsis

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "Popera" he also has a very pleasant, Humble and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato,whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from Venezuela🇻🇪, "Dears" Forever ❤️👍🏻 Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. Thank you for this excellent and knowledgeable video. So is it your opinion that when Dimash hits the E6 in Sinful Passion it’s actually him bringing head voice into flageolet, and this is not a falsetto note?
@ChristofChapsis
@ChristofChapsis 3 года назад
Absolutely not! that whole segment has nothing to do with falsetto, that's all 'mask head voice' and 'flageolet'. He MAYBE used some falsetto in the beginning of 'Sinful Passion'. Cheers!

Dimash uses all the vocal registers that are possible, yes, in the male voice but also in the female voice😊
@ChristofChapsis
@ChristofChapsis 3 месяца назад
Absolutely. Vocal mechanisms are gender neutral. In fact, you pointed out one of the most "wrongly" expressed parts of this video. I was writing my thesis/master research at the time which was also linked to my own vocal-technical progress. If I would re-do this video, I would be more prudent in my choice of words. Thanks for watching!

@ChristofChapsis I studied voice in the late 1980s in Washington, DC USA with Todd Duncan, the opera singer handpicked by George Gershwin to be his original Porgy in the grand opera Porgy and Bess. This past May 7th, I sang the "Star Spangled Banner" at a professional baseball game and am expecting to sing again at a professional football game this fall. I would study with you to prepare because of your amazing voice and understanding of Dimash, but I need to do it in person. How to sing like Dimash? Begin your vocal training at age 5. Commit at that age to put in at least 3 to 6 hours a day vocalizing. Use the same vocal coach your operatic soprano mother trained with! Inherit Sveta (your mother) and Kanat (your father) genetic vocal abilities. I like Dimash but would still much rather hear Avi Kaplan. Oh, Dimash also has a masters.

What do you call that super high note (D8 or something) Dimash hits in at least one version of Unforgettable day and in Diva Dance/Drunken Concubine? I don't even think of it as a singing voice; it is just....weird, almost without a pitch. I consider it a party trick, because it is not particularly musical. Is that a whistle tone? I don't think he actually can do a scale up to it, just hit a couple of notes up in that octave. How is it produced?
@ChristofChapsis
@ChristofChapsis 3 года назад
That's just a whistle note. Like I said, it's a disconnected mechanism, so it's impossible to connect it with other registers (like you said, singing a scale or something). It's just a trick, impressive nevertheless. Cheers!

Did you watch my video ? At the end of the video I stated very clearly that Dimash has a godgiven talent but that he also worked and studied hard. I also said that it will take a LOOOOOT of training to come even close to the level of Dimash. With a lot of dedication and training it CAN BE possible to do certain things that Dimash is capable of. The title of a RU-vid video is limited to 100 characters, so I have to make a choice which title represents my content the most. I never had the intention to be disrespectful.

There's nothing more annoying in this world than these "dears". You people are absolutely unbearable and do Dimash a great disservice.
